When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

an ambitious but ultimately ineffective debut endeavor.

Another great movie from Dibankar Benarji. Have seen it many time and every time i watch it becomes more and more entertaining. all credit goes to Dibankar Benarji for casting such a great team of actors that each one of them seems irreplaceable. The best among all is the actors is the actor who has performed childhood lucky his performance won him best Filmfare award critics. Childhood scene of the movie are the funniest and best selling point of the movie.Dibankar Benarji has portrayed the Delhi life in such a way that no one has ever done before. If a person has lived in Delhi he can tell that director is from Delhi.Even the songs of movie are not easily composed they are not a product of typical Hindi film industry assembly line for movies where many time music composers don't even read the scripts for composing songs. Music director has gone through a lot of trouble for finding original singers from village who can sing Haryanvi and Punjabi songs. The songs are not just typical Bollywood kind of songs that are made just to entertain the people which many time have no relevance to the movie or story. All the songs of the movie depicts the emotions and condition of situation of the scene perfectly.

There is not 0 (zero) for vote otherwise I would have selected that one. The movie has broke one record - "The WORST movie of my life". Entire movie doesn't mean any sense. The acting is pathetic and senseless. We watched this movie on Friday night and HONESTLY, we couldn't sleep until 2 AM. We were thinking that our life is meaningless just because we spent 2 hours for this meaningless movie. It not only ruined our Friday night but also the Weekend. Seriously, I would have spent those 2 hours in restroom rather then watching this pathetic movie. Please give yourself and your family a fever and do not spend 1 minute to talk/watch/read/write about this movie.

Oye Lucky Lucky Oye ! Lucky to get such a wonderful movie. when bollywood is producing only crap on name of Big flicks, OLLO, comparatively very low budget flick, brings a Breeze of freshness. The movie is a true masterpiece and extremely original because of its sheer brilliant direction. Hats off to Mr.Dibakar Banerjee for this great, aesthetic and tasteful movie in all the aspects. Dibakar earns full points for being that courageous to experiment is all the parts of movie, whether it is characterization, or multiple roles by Paresh Bhai, or folk, traditional music. Creativity inside him seems to be boiling in full temperature and that really raises our expectation bar for the next time. Abhay Deol could be the only adequate choice for that Ultra cool "Superchor" and he proves it. Abhay, having a special crowd of fans, again gifts them a terrific movie. His acing is awesome and fits very nicely to the character. His chuckling face, innocent smile drives you crazy and evokes a sense of pristine happiness inside you. Paresh Rawal is one of the most talented character artist of Hindi film industry and this movie consolidates the fact. One thing, I am sure about the movie, those who will like it, wont be able to control himself watching it again and again. Very solid performance by young lucky and his cute, innocent greeting card girl. That sequence of movie is super cute and makes you hold your heart and breath. Music adds flavor in the movie and very nicely transplanted in background, that makes movie very speedy. Also for those who does not know, the singers were selected by folk songs competitions in haryana and Punjab's villages. Brilliant idea!! Truly wonderful and natural music, superb acting and innovative direction ! Kudos to all !!

i saw the movie OYE LUCKY, LUCKY OYE after reading quite a few reviews, and hearing most. I was awaiting a movie by the director of the famed KHOSLA, but the reviewers were quite put off by the show...I had, however, made my mind & saw it tonight. In order to clarify my stand, let me start by saying that LUCKY is exactly like KHOSLA. In both cases, the director aims to create a character-sketch of a complete set of society, not just an individual. In both cases, the director succeeds completely! For those who went to see the movie for a story a.k.a. Bunty & Babli, they were highly disappointed! Most complained that there was no story. While I agree with them, as the movie ended, i realized: a story WAS NOT needed...The director wants to present a set of characters, and portrays their life. If he were to weave a story, i would have been aghast. The movie ends with a hint of naughtiness, which leaves us with a smile on our face. And the very way that non-relevant parts of introduction & conclusion are handled by photo-presentation, is quite ingenious! The very simplicity of presentation struck me. There is no set-up, in order to give the movie a MOVIE feel. It is quite like a normal person's biography, just that in this case, he happens to be a thief. The movie does leave a lot to be explained, like why he doesn't sell what he steals, or where he gets money to live off from... But the story is so convincing, it sets the right pace, concentrating on the person & not what he does... That i believe, wouldn't have been possible to achieve, had the director tried to show details.... Its like seeing a movie adaptation of a novel before reading the book.. I wish i could get the script & discussions of the story writer & director... Well, to conclude, its a carefree movie, like KHOSLA, which succeeds in showing what it aims for, and not wondering why everything else happens.... I think its worth a watch :DPS: its not a comedy...please don't have awfully wrong expectations
