The movie really just wants to entertain people.

Really. What do people want? The story is loyal to the main story and it's following its path. And it's quite interesting in my opinion. I'm wanting to know what will happen after this one. I hope they make a new one. This movie is more of the same. Means it's good. You can trust me. If you haven't watched it don't give attention to those bad reviews. This is a good movie. What it didn't explain everything? It's not supposed to. We want more sequences. Still it explains a lot. People are not really patient. Reviews are so bad that I went to Netflix to watch it before I could buy it. Now I don't have a doubt. I'll get it to my collection. And I hope they keep up the good work.

I have now seen every single installment of the Oren Peli propelled "Paranormal Activity" franchise after having scrutinized the most recent in the series, "The Ghost Dimension". Nothing all that new here. Jump cut found footage. Inexplicable plot contrivances. Unfeasibly behaving characters. Ruthlessly brutal conclusions. As per usual, it's creepy as all hell. And now that'll be enough, OP.

I understand the hate because it's paranormal activity. However, this film was very entertaining to me and was a fun little scary movie to watch. I'm not saying it's even great but definitely above average. I personally didn't like any of the other films and I feel that this one stuff actually happens. My main problem with the other ones are so much time wasted with nothing happening with a stupid payoff that really isn't scary. Now i'm not gonna say that all the jump scares are good because not all are but some are cool through the first person view that not much of the other films explored for some crazy reason. Now the time line with the other films are kinda cool and I like the concept but it isn't utilized to the full potential. Now I never write reviews but i felt i should write this because this film was a fun ride, nothing insanely good that's gonna turn a new leaf in the horror genre or even that it's new but more that it's a good entertaining horror film to watch when your in the mode for a interesting movie. So if you have an amazon prime membership and can watch the movie for free some night, check it out. But if you wanted to rent it for a couple bucks that's okay. To be honest I fell kinda bad saying it but I might even pick this title up on blu-ray on black Friday if it's really cheap. Not a bad one to add to the collection.

This being the sixth installment in the franchise, found footage style continues to bring suspense, fear, disbelief and terror. The Fleege family, Ryan (Chris J. Murray), his wife Emily (Brit Shaw) and daughter Leila (Ivy George) move into their new large home right before the winter holidays. Christmas guests arrive; Ryan's brother, Mike (Dan Gill) and Emily's sister, Skyler (Olivia Taylor Dudley), and things don't stay bright and cheery for long. Ryan and his brother find a box of several VHS tapes and an old 1980s style home video camera in the basement.Mike, being the "man of the house", begins using the camera and starts seeing odd things through it. When Leila starts acting a bit weird and uncharacteristically it becomes obvious there is a dark presence loose in the home. Paranormal activity much like in the found footage will jump start a disturbing and frightening holiday reunion with horror, fright and peril. The cast also features: Chloe Csengery, Jessica Tyler Brown, Don McManus, Hallie Foote and Mark Steger.
