Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This film was my first view of Penn and Teller on TV. You get to see how they mix comedy, magic, and entertainment into there routine. They are true performance artists who take on popular culture, magic stereotypes, and traditional views. In this short film Penn and Teller are selling there magic tricks. Penn and Teller tell the story of there invisible thread and espouse there magic-philosophy routines. Instead of wooing the audience with there tricks they do there magic and they also talk about magicians like Houdini, musicians like Elvis. This film is a must for Penn and Teller fans and for light entertainment only. I will give it a 6 / 10.

A wonderfully captivating short movie that is worth watching, and re-watching. This movie is easily on my top ten list of movies that I recommend to other people as a MUST SEE. It is also my favorite Political Satire ranking above such great movies as the dark comedy, "The Ruling Class." Penn & Teller, Purveyors of fine magic tricks are thrust into the world of political paranoia when Teller is called upon to help save the world from certain doom. It is the kind of comedy that tickles the funny-bone while pulling at the strings of reason (no pun intended). Rent, Buy or Borrow this film and watch it. You will be happy that you did.

A very good short starring Penn and Teller and featuring the magic trick that saved the world. Vaguely amusing, vaguely bizarre but definitely entertaining. I only wish that I had a copy of it. I haven't seen it in years, but it left enough of an impression on me that I still think about it from time to time.
