In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Mabel Munoz
Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?
Aneesa Wardle
The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I was excited to watch this as it was recommended by our local radio station but honestly it was one of the worst films I have seen in a long time. The acting was dreadful so I am not surprised these actors have not gone on to stardom. The plot was ridiculous just terrible a definite not one to watch !

**SPOILERS*** It's when genetic scientist Christine Hartley, Amanda Detman, discovered a secret to what cause behavior in humans and animals, like the rats in her laboratory, that strange things started to happen to her. There were a number of break-ins in Christine's lab at the Unversity that indicated they were the work of neighborhood junkies looking for a fix. It was later when she found the ski-cap of her latest attacker, or break-in artist, that Christine went to work in the state of the art university laboratory to identify him or her by the hair samples she found on it. While all this was happening Christine's hubby Chuck, Anthony Lemke, had been acting very strange in his aloofness towards his very disturbed ,in almost getting herself killed, wife. What exactly was Chuckie up to in him not seeming to give a damn to what his wife's problems were! It tuned out that Chuck was a bit ticked off at Christine in her leaving all her money, that she's to get in her very successful research project, to charity or the university's science department not to him or anyone else! Can it be that Chuck was planning to off Christine and make it look like she was murdered by a drugged up junkie while looking for his next fix in her laboratory drug cabinet?Things got a little more strange when Sam Buckner, Jonathan Scarfe, showed up n the scene. Sam who dropped in at a annual get together of graduated students, of the classes of 1991 & 1993, of the university seemed to be there just to get some free drinks and bites to eat and nothing else. As it turns out Sam not only dropped out of collage but has since became a murder mystery writer under the pen name of Robert Hunter. Private eye Sam then uses his murder mystery experience to track down who's really having it in for Christine whom he had since fallen in love with. Meanwhile back at the lab Christine due to her DNA testing of his hair and the hair of her attackers ski-cap is positive, as the DNA test concluded, that the person who's out to get her is non other then her crazy, by the way he's been acting lately, husband Chuck!***SPOILERS*** The ending is really worth watching in what was really behind the plot to off Christine. Amazingly it was through Sam's pen name Robert Hunter, try to figure that one out, that Christine came to the conclusion who her attacker was. But the thing that she didn't realize or completely overlooked was not only what was the real reason for him wanting to ice her but with who he planned to do it with!

Amanda Detmar,(Christine Hartley),"Alone in a Crowd",'05, played the role as a scientist who discovers some very important findings concerning addictions and will be worth millions of dollars for her scientific work. Christine is married to a lawyer, Jonathan Scarfe, (Chuck Hartley), "Rhinoceros Eyes", '03 who are both having some marital ups and downs with some cheating going on and the spark seems to have gone out in their bedroom. This story leads you down one path and then quickly bounces back in another direction. There is a certain party which goes on that just might give you some insight into what might be going on; but I doubt very much if you will be able to follow just where this story will end or who could possibly be involved in this mystery.
