Absolutely the worst movie.

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

A brood of fire-breathing dragons emerges from the earth and begins setting everything ablaze, establishing dominance over the planet. Reign of Fire is a really underrated film in my opinion i mean just look at the cast Christian Bale, Matthew McConaughey and Gerard Butler? it doesn't get any better than that. Plus mixing dragons and action but not setting it in the medieval times or something like that was pretty smart and cool. The special effects on the dragons were very good and looked realistic enough and as for the perfomances? everyone did a really good job and McConaughey had one hell of a scene in the end. Definitely recommending this it's something new mixed with old stuff and alot of fun too. (A+)

Stumbled upon this movie and was pleasantly surprised. Not your usual dragon / fantasy fare at all. With an amazing cast all putting in strong performances, a wonderfully original storyline, great action sequences and consistent thrills, you won't be disappointed.

This is another post-apocalyptic film, the apocalypse this time having been brought about by dragons. Not ordinary dragons, but terrifying dragons that move lightning fast and scorch the earth like napalm. The story starts with a group of tough, grimy, low tech humans trying their best to survive in this world, and doing a pretty good job of it. But then a group of well-armed high-tech humans shows up and bring the battle to another level. Their goal is not just to survive, but to destroy all the dragons. These two groups are each led by strong-willed leaders, who naturally ram heads with each other for a while. They each believe in what they're doing. Will they be able to work together? Even though the two leaders are two of the best actors on the planet (McConaughey and Bale), they put on pumped-up cartoonish performances here. I suppose that's what most of the watchers of this movie would want. I think the movie is aimed at teenage boys more than anyone else. I thought this was an enjoyable enough action film. I had serious suspension-of-disbelief issues for a few scenes, but I was able to look past it. There was more grit and sweat in the movie than magic. This movie has little fantasy or medieval context to it, although it does a good job of showing a dark, apocalyptic world.

Brave Americans have been saving the world in cinematography for many- many years (mostly from aliens and terrorists). This time though it was something unbelievably fresh. The world have been saved by Americans together with English from...dragons(!)...in future! Such wow! This is...fantastic...in all senses. Don't get me wrong, i did like the movie, but mostly due to the cast. Mcconaughey did his job exquisitely once again. One will find him in a very unusual role here (not that i barely recognized him or something, i did, and was even really amazed). For Bale - well job as well. The plot and the actualization are cheesy but it could be worse (there are lots of similar movies which are trashy). But this one is quite fascinating, sometimes even intriguing. So i would recommend to watch it just for one time. Evening, beer, pizza and Mcconaughey killing dragons - a pretty nice kit for having a good time, don't you think?
