ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Brooklynn There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
krocheav No major spoilers here, just a general overview. The main title for this movie is both interesting and minimalist but what immediately follows is far too shocking for a PG rating, let alone an MA (an unresolved brutal murder) While there are several deeply layered elements of character involvement, there are also times when you can't help wondering if the movie makers are trying more to manipulate our emotions than engage them? As a study of families under relationship duress due to tragedy, it certainly has its share of emotionally charged situations - with the entire cast working hard at involving us. Robert Pattinson and Emillie De Ravin as Tyler and Ally (both suffering family member loss) do well with their lead characters. Unfortunately, Tyler's young buddy, Aidan, thinks all your woes can be overcome with booze, sex and smoking and this just isn't so. These mildly unattractive actions tend to subtract from what could have been a far more engaging story. Perhaps the script at times maybe too unnecessarily detailed when it might have been better simply letting the viewer fill in some of the lines (?) Still, much of what is being presented in 'Remember Me' is worthwhile and, taken on its merits - its heart is generally in the right place - maybe it just needed a touch more refining. The final wrap up comes out of the blue and is thought provoking without going too far with details. This for some, will be a love it or hate it type movie but from the returns, seems maybe more liked, than not. Also, seems the American rating system falsely thinks that all movies featuring the involvement of young children are family oriented - how wrong they can be, as this is not particularly good fodder for young children (even though we have seen worse) Worth a look.
naibykhan When I started watching this movie,I was so excited and created an environment of cinema, then the movie started from a few opening credits and the sole purpose of watching this movie was actually Robert Pattinson. At first I tried to understand the story and then I started feeling impressed by the acting skills of him and really I was feeling like I am in every feeling he(Robert) felt and at last when he died literally my voice became heavy and tears started falling from my eyes. This movie really enlightens the things from which the family of 9/11 martyred survived and showed people that don't be a pessimist but be an optimist that if u lose someone,it doesn't mean that you should give up actually you should stand up and be ready for the next time but the overall movie experience was extraordinary.
Maggie Gong I'm not sure that I watched the same movie as all the negative critics reviewed as 'horrible'. Personally I am not a Robert Pattinson fan, but this movie made me rethink my opinion about him, because it was truly inspiring, and it was creative. The only thing was that the ending was extremely sad, and it caught me completely out of the blue, it took one problem and made it into an inspiring movie, and it taught so many lessons, and all the quotes were so meaningful. The movie was beautiful and you definitely MUST WATCH IT!!!That is my opinion of the whole movie!!!
dzotalis01 I need to remember not to allow my movie choices to be influenced by critic's opinions. I just finished watching Remember Me, stumbled on it by accident in Netflix, and couldn't stop watching. I'm a huge Rob Pattinson fan, loved the Twilight books and movies, but heard such negative reviews about this movie that I never gave it a chance. I'm so glad I did! What a tremendous performance by Rob. I saw his acting potential in Twilight, he was by far the main reason those movies were even as good as they were. But he really seems to be strengthening his craft in this movie. He's believable and you can't take your eyes off him. Not because of handsomeness, but something magnetic. There were several other great performance as well, including his girlfriend and young sister. This isn't a cookie cutter movie with predictable plots and stereotype characters. It was a very emotionally satisfying movie. I highly recommend it.
