One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.

Policeman Jack Stone (Matthew Reese) purposely gets himself thrown into prison following a bank robbery and killing a police officer. He doesn't have good odds, but he is Jack Stone, movie cop with choreographed moves. His goal is to take down Russian mafia boss Balam (Chuck Liddell) who deals drugs from his private quarters inside the prison surrounded by crooked guards. He also runs a protection racket.Jack befriends mop man William (Dolph Lundgren) and there is also an attached woman's prison where Alena (Danielle Chuchran) causes trouble. Not too hard to figure out.The plot was highly improbable as was the prison. There were no real twists as the writing exhibited little imagination and dialogue. What the movie features is plenty of prison fighting. How many times can Jack get hit with a club and not go down?Guide: No sex or nudity. No swearing. Serious no swearing in a prison film. Filmed in Utah.Danielle Chuchran aka "Thing One" wanted the role of Katniss. She ended up playing Kate Mitra in "Survivor" and assumed the Katniss pose on several occasions. She has become the leading lady in Utah films.

What a pity Steven Segal got old.I can just see him lumbering along the cell passageways knocking aside friend and foe alike, beetled of brow and trying to remember which side to put to the camera.
As it is we have a gentleman named Matthew Reese who may have more speed and energy than Steve but lacks his baleful charm and self - awareness.
He plays a cop involved in a bank raid(the best part of the film) in order to get arrested and take revenge on a mobster who had killed his wife.
"Riot" has a bigger body - count than "Where eagles dare",most of the prison population of the U.S. fight each other unconvincingly.there are plot lines that wither an die every few minutes and some girl on girl action that may please
those who like that sort of thing.
Dolph Lundgren is the only person I have ever heard of that is in it and it was premiered in Nigeria.
It really is that good.

Was an enjoyable, if somewhat predictable movie. Some of the characters were a little obvious in their place in the film, but with one like this it's to be expected. The core characters for the most part though, were decent. Actually, if you count a couple of little things to pick apart (like grabbing a weapon to lead a swat team - in a suit), and that's stuff that many major movies do also, well that's why it's a movie. The only issue I had really, with the movie as a whole, were some of the action sequences. There were times when watching them where it felt that you were watching the choreography being rehearsed instead of a full-on fight scene. There were plenty of stuff left to the imagination, a lot of back story that you just get a vague overview of and are left to just take on faith that Yep, that's why this is this way, and that's why this is this way. If you can overlook those things though, it was exactly the kind of movie it sounds like, and worth a watch on a weeknight when you're bored.

I will be short and blunt! This movie is not a blockbuster hit but for what it is it is done quite well. You will see lot's of people criticize it but it has a story which I would rate 6 out of 10. The acting is not the greatest but I love Dolph (4 of 10). The special effects are better than a lot of movies that say they spend more than what this movie cost (6 of 10). The main antagonist and protagonist are both exceptional fighters and the fight scenes are done really well. (7 of 10). All in all it is a decent action movie. If you are looking for the best special effects or acting then you won't like this but if you know you are watching something just for entertainment purposes and not expecting a lot of jazz then this movie is worth watching!
