Room Full of Spoons is an in depth documentary about the cult film that is widely accepted as the worst film ever made: The Room, and it’s eccentric creator Tommy Wiseau. Referred to as “The Citizen Kane of bad movies” by Entertainment Weekly, The Room grossed only $1800 during it’s initial box office run. Against all odds, Mr. Wiseau’s disastrous film found a new life on the midnight movie circuit and now plays to audiences around the world making it one of the most adored and important films in popular culture. Follow Rick Harper and his team on their journey across the Globe as they experience this midnight movie phenomenon, meet with the entire cast and crew of the The Room and piece together the story behind the mysterious Tommy Wiseau. The film has not yet received a full release due to legal action taken by Wiseau against the filmmakers.

Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
GarnettTeenage The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.
Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
lynnbh I have never seen The Room but am anxious to see it now! I didn't have any idea what to expect from this documentary as most docs are informative but not very exciting. This one, however, had people riveted to their seats from the beginning to the end. The RockHaven team managed to pack a theatre at the Ottawa premiere of the film with over 300 people interested in the topic of The Room and Tommy Wiseau. Taking us from the personal relationship the team had with Tommy, to giving a voice to the cast and crew of The Room and rounding the film off with tactfully answering questions fans had about Tommy's life, the RockHaven team scored a 10! The controversy surrounding the relationship between Tommy and the making of this documentary by RockHaven Pictures only makes this film more interesting and will certainly prove to breathe more life into The Room itself.
jthompsonaaa I have seen The Room a few times. Never at a midnight screening, never obsessed over it, but enough times that "Oh Hai (whoever)" worked its way into my vernacular. I say it to my pets.Room Full of Spoons makes plain the reasons why The Room is "The Room". Through very entertaining interviews with cast and crew, we are let in on the circumstances that lead to some of the most baffling, iconic, and incredibly stupid scenes in Tommy Wiseau's cinematic enigma . The terrible dialog, the TV behind the couch, the breast cancer, the tuxedos, The Denny seemingly inviting himself to a three-way, the chocolates, and that goddamn football. The doc touches on pretty much everything you could want to know. I especially loved the interview with Sandy Schklair, who talks at length about direction, set design, and many of the more bizarre aspects of the look of The Room. The making-of narrative is interspersed with the story of the documentary filmmakers themselves. This doc was in production for 5 years, and much has evolved in that time. The documentary spends a considerable amount of time on the current state of affairs in Wiseau-land, and considering Tommy's efforts to undermine and discredit RFOS, makes for an essential and entertaining sub-plot. As for constructive feedback; there is a fadeout right after the segment about Chloe Lietzke that could stand to be a beat longer before moving on to the next scene. It felt a bit jarring. I saw the Ottawa premiere on 3/23, and I loved this doc!
bastiendezutter I had no idea of what the hell I was gonna watch... a documentary about the worst movie ever??? Can it be good or will it be bad as the movie? Well this documentary is great, and even if it is 2 hrs long, it doesn't feel like 2 hrs… I guaranteed that you will laugh will watching, and then you will for sure make at least one research on Google to know more about the movie The Room even if pretty much all the topics are covered in the documentary. It also demonstrate the great quality that an independent studio can deliver as a final product... It can be easily compared to big production documentaries. It is easy to follow since the story line is well written and the different topics are well presented. Nice jobs made by the production. Great time guaranteed to watch with your friends!
Furanu J. Tejeda White Full documentation work expressed with very good film rhythm and great image quality. It answers the questions that many fans want to know and gives voice to the true creators of "The Room", the film crew. Where was born Tommy Wiseau? Where did he get the money for the movie? Who is the real filmmaker? Why it has become a mass phenomenon? In my opinion it is very telling and very fair to those who deserve to tell his side of the story. This is a bold decision by Rick Harper that will be rewarded the years invested in this movie. He seems to have a whole life doing reports and that means that knows the cinema and theme. It is not an exaggeration, it deserves a 9/10.
