Matialth Good concept, poorly executed.
Claysaba Excellent, Without a doubt!!
Stellead Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
Derry Herrera Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
Graxxor Anandro Vidhelssen A worthy addition to the "time out of life" genre where the protagonists spend their final week, summer, day -or night in this case- of escape before returning to their realities. The characters are well developed, their back stories hold interest and there are moments of true dreamy escapism dotted throughout this picture set entirely in a sumptuous hotel room in Rome. However what carries this movie is the camaraderie and obvious sexual chemistry between the Alba and Nata-ssssha. The way their relationship and romance blossoms throughout the movie is never forced and there is next to nothing cringeworthy, a common affliction of "love at first sight" fare. What surprised me was the skill with which the director conveyed the acute feeling that the whole situation was so delicate, private and most importantly, fleeting: You could palpably feel the two squeezing the absolute most out of their time together. The sex scenes are prominent, powerful and sensual rather than titillating... If rather short "coming to the point"...
blueneptune1 I really liked this movie because I accepted it for what it is: an erotic comedy with a hint of drama. I'm a straight male so I could not take my eyes off of this movie, partly because of the beautiful cinematography and partly because of how beautiful the 2 protagonists are. The negative comments relate to how the storyline was confusing or there were lies on top of lies, but come on...2 strangers meet for a 1-night-stand and they tell the truth about their lives? Give me a break. I also bet half of the bad reviews are from women who don't come close to looking like these 2.The storyline was a bit corny and trite yet kept you wanting to know more. Some of the banter is witty and some didn't make much sense. There is romance, art, humor, culture, heartbreak, and triumph all rolled in one movie. Natasha's acting was inferior to Albas, but I was interested in how it would end, and I liked it because it kept you guessing. This movie falls short of Sex and Lucia, which I loved and t's from the same director. Would the movie be as alluring if 2 obese and unattractive women were in it? I doubt it, but that's for the viewer to decide.
DustinRahksi Don't ask how I came into viewing this, it was supposed to be a break from my streak of garbage horror movies. I don't have much to say about this film, so I'm going to make it brief. How something so simple minded and poorly done can even get 10 star reviews on this site is beyond me. Is this a porno or a movie, the two leads are naked through 90 percent of the movie, and I thought hostel was ridiculous. The whole movie takes place in a single room, wow! what a great idea. Then you add in a none existent plot and non-stop sex, and what you get is something that doesn't qualify as a film. Don't you hate it when you think your going to watch a movie, but it is pretty much a feature length adult film. The film wears on you real fast, and I found my self day dreaming of shutting it off and going back to my trashy horror films. People will argue there is a deeper meaning, but I was to bored to even pay attention. This film lacks any type of plot, has nothing intriguing, and on top of that it's 1 hour and 40 minutes long, this sucks. This movie is just an excuse to turn porn into a film, it's a joke and a mind numbing mess.
Drake Thompson When i decided to watch this movie, Room In Rome (RIR) it's because i read that this is the remake of En La Cama (ELC), which i already watched before. So, i'm having, kind of, comparative agenda in the beginning. The story is undeniably similar to each other, but i think RIR has different variety and is more emotional. The characters are very-well portrayed and well developed. The chemistry is good between them two and the acting is well-done and i personally think that the portion (which is Elena's character) is given the way it should be without underestimated another. The dialogs are quite strong, instead of couples of repetition in the beginning (if i recall: the one that Natasha said "this is my last day in Spain" which was previously mentioned before they entered the hotel room and then she repeats it again) What i love about this movie is the cinematography and the score, i think they're making this movie more colorful and interesting. Both aspects are mutual to each other which strengthen the emotional value. On the whole, just when you read the plot/summary, and then you'll think this movie is going to be boring, take it back, RIR is an interesting and emotional movie. It's typical European movie. Every messages that the writer wants to deliver is carefully and gently portrayed. In the end, it makes me regret to think that i can compare RIR with ELC. The director and writers are successfully developed this movie more than just a story about two women, in a hotel room and a one night stand.
