Contentar Best movie of this year hands down!
Stoutor It's not great by any means, but it's a pretty good movie that didn't leave me filled with regret for investing time in it.
Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
lukebarnes-87486 A really creative comic. Great with the audience, and a wonderful sense of irony and timing. There is no cookie cutter jokes, no pandering, and an appropriate amount of pure stupidity. If you want a preview of his skills, watch "Rory Scovel Stand-Up 11/02/16 - CONAN on TBS" on YouTube. It's amazing.
Rob Greaves I really enjoyed this Netflix Special. I wasn't sure what to expect going into it as I had never heard of him but I definitely want to see more of him. He reminded me of Bill Hicks in some aspects with his attitude towards the audience and self loathing for his own depravities. Where I wish he took a bit more of a Bill Hicks approach though was to go a bit deeper with the politics. He clearly has some funny views on the future under President Trump but I didn't feel as though he was educating me on anything whilst making me laugh. That last part might sound a tad ridiculous, after all he is a comedian but I guess I say it because some of my favourites such as Bill Hicks and Frankie Boyle are able to mix pure filth with deep political thinking and I feel as though Rory Scovel could have entered their league if only he had the boldness to use this as a platform to make people think whilst entertaining them. Overall though this is well worth watching and I will definitely be watching his future shows and genuinely hope he can move up a notch from pretty entertaining to doing some ground breaking comedy.
Greg L I almost turned it off after 5 or so minutes. The beginning is just a brutally bad open for an unknown (to me) comic. I'm glad I stuck it out, because there were a bunch of hilarious bits. It progressively got better throughout. The side segments away from the mic were stupid, but they almost always are in these stand up specials, so it might not be worth mentioning. He has a bit of a Jim Gaffigan vibe at times (voicing the audience schtick). He has a bunch of unique observations that are worth watching for stand-up fans. I'd pay to see him at a show now.
LAHegarty This is not "stand-up" its drivel, Netflix seems to have some quality control issues, I hope they sort their 'content over quality model' & start producing better shows, more isn't always better. This currently has a 7/10 IMDb rating as of the 1st of July with 128 votes, I predict this will shortly be a lesser score, time will tell.
