Disturbing yet enthralling
Matrixiole
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Sarita Rafferty
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

First of all excuse my lousy English, if something is spelled wrong ... well, keep the mistake and read on!The Movie "rette deine Haut" :Don't expect boombastic Decoration and a dozen Explosions or so ... this Police-Thriller focuses more on the corrupt cops and their Relationship between themselves and their Families. Basically the Main characters are no Stereotypical Good Cop, Bad Cop Guys. They're Family lovin and at no Time you will be disgusted of one of them - they're simply Humans like you and me, trying to get a Living. Unfortunately they cooperate with a well known Gangster and some Night they have to arrest him. So ...who will pay the new built House, the Swimming Pool, and what will happen to the only Witness, who knows everything about the little "Deal"?... and thats what makes this little, good Movie such an interesting Thing to watch. The moral Conflict and how they handle it."rette deine Haut" is well photographed (with a cold blue/grey Look), and directed and overall the Actors fit very well with their Roles.A little Gem of a Police Thriller ... even from Germany. Who thought that? ;-)

Corrupt cops earning some money in addition live happyly together in the wealthy suburbs of Hamburg until Rudi Nowak's (Ken Duken) conscience comes into play as one of his colleges is getting shot by a gangster. One of the cops is Axel Prahl as Oswald Kosinski. Unfortunaletly this brilliant actor only appears in the subplot playing one of the the bad cops who is compromised in the very end trying to eliminate a wittnes in behalf of a pimp and gangster boss. German film at its very best.
