Incannerax What a waste of my time!!!
ClassyWas Excellent, smart action film.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
adonis98-743-186503 Expert S.W.A.T. leader Paul Cutler goes to Detroit on a special assignment to train and certify the city's S.W.A.T. team. After a hostage is killed during an assignment, the victim's boyfriend, a highly specialized government agent, decides to take revenge on Cutler and his team. S.W.A.T.: Firefight is better than it gets credit and actually a pretty good sequel to the 2003 film starring Samuel L. Jackson plus that Terminator Reunion between Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) and Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3) was easily the best part of the entire movie easily. (10/10)
Leofwine_draca S.W.A.T.: FIREFIGHT is a typically cheap B-movie thriller that follows a bunch of bland, handsome but soulless goons around as their SWAT team goes up against a psychopath bent on revenge. The only fun moment comes early on as Kristanna Loken shows up playing the girlfriend of the unhinged Robert Patrick, the only actor in this to give anything approaching a convincing performance. The rest is a mish-mash of cheaply-staged action sequences and dire dialog. The main actor is as wooden as they come and the whole story has a clichéd, seen-it-all-before feel.
Mario Kauzlaric When I saw the movie was made for video market, I almost gave up watching it. Then I saw that Gabriel Macht is in leading role, so I just decided to watch it despite there was dangerous to spoil my evening. But the movie showed solid script, above average production, simple and clear directing and good, I repeat, good acting of Gabriel Macht and other characters. Most of action scenes looked realistic and correct. The movie kept my attention till end and I was satisfied what it brought out. it is not for watching if you expect action blockbuster, but just take it and will not be disappointed. some of supporting roles are quite good ( Nicholas Gonzalez, Shannon Kane)
funkcanna OK, let me first say that this is my first ever review - I was compelled to write one based on simply how BAD this movie is. The only reason I didn't give it a 1 is because I have seen worse. Another reason I felt angry enough to write a review is because I normally like these kind of movies. Normally all you have to do is include something like SWAT, SAS or Marines in the description of the movie and point me towards it and I will lap it up. Unfortunately however, SWAT: Firefight only succeeded for me in one regard - it has SWAT in its title. The story is just weak, really weak. Just when you feel it is about to get going, it literally ends. Its cliché to an extreme and about as predictable a movie I have ever seen. I wont go on but to summarize, this is just a bad movie. If you want some decent SWAT like viewing entertainment, I recommend Flashpoint (Canadian TV Series) or possibly watching paint dry could also be considered a viable alternative.
