Develiker terrible... so disappointed.
Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
CrawlerChunky In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.
Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.
Zbigniew_Krycsiwiki Darrell Roodt (director of the stylish looking, but hollow and unfocused South African film, City Of Blood, (a film whose alleged year of release changes frequently) ) struck again with this flimsy " thriller ", about a group of nitwits who venture off the beaten path while on safari, being set upon by wild animals over the next several days.I'm happy to watch a horror/ thriller which involves a physical threat to the protagonist, rather than yet another supernatural ghost story, but in this case, and as with most other found footage flicks, I couldn't help but constantly wonder, why are these morons continuing to film everything? Even after their tour guide is attacked by a snake, and subsequently dies of his injuries, even after one of their number falls from a cliff and dies, even after one of them accidentally blows his own head off with a newly discovered shotgun, they continue to film, just so this can be a found footage flick. Put the camera down, so you can concentrate on getting to safety!
pierrecoetzer There is truly no worse movie produced in the last 30 years. Showgirls? A four compared to this awful, xenophobic and culturally stereotypical work.Nothing is representative of a real situation, acting is wooden - at best - never more than awful, camera work is always amateur. I want my money back.
lynnes-46650 As a South African, I am ashamed that such a movie was ever made. To say it is a "horror" movie...what a laugh, more a comedy of errors. An utter load of hogwash!! The acting was incredibly sub-standard. And as to the photography, I am sure that any 5-year old could do better. Camera being tossed around to replicate a person being chased by a predator.....oh my, an absolute laugh!!
bluefoxniner As a safari goer of many times over, i was really looking forward to this film. It turned out to be a ' Blair witch' type of film but set in the savannahs of South Africa.Incredibly predictable, it re-enforces every possible stereotype of Americans abroad..a bunch of tourists go on safari, act like spoilt brats who demand privilege whilst on safari. The truth element of this film is a little more chilling…Safari tour organisers in South Africa have little or no ethical attitude towards guiding wealthy foreigners, and it is this toxic combination that sets the tone for the film. Unable to see lions as demanded by the tourists ( how DARE the lions don't show up, we came from LA!) the corrupted guide takes them off the national park grid and into wild territory where a series of encounters with momma nature sees them pretty much picked off one by one. This would never ever happen on a Kenyan Safari…any tourist who leaves the safari vehicle would go to jail, end of story.2 stars because the female tourists in the cast were quiet attractive, and their respective boyfriends the Neanderthal frat boys that leave you wondering what these women see in them. Avoid this film.
