I have watched it three times and I always get something from it. You can see it to enlighten yourself about a time where "vendetta" was a way of living and where the pest was difficult to overcome. Or, you can watch it to inspire yourself about a woman that against all odds was able to keep her faith and forgive others walking as a peace maker and therefore a "friend" of God. All of us have, at a moment or another, someone to forgive, and this movie will motivate you to be a peacemaker. The acting of both Vittoria Belvedere and Lina Sastri, is excellent, and their dialogues very profound. Male actors are also impeccable, portraying very believable passionate Italians.
