Lidia Draper Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Gary The movie's not perfect, but it sticks the landing of its message. It was engaging - thrilling at times - and I personally thought it was a great time.

Winifred The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.

suziethorn Watched the movie at least 10 times now, think it's awesome! The twins in the film are very creepy, which I loved. Using a video camera and their minds to get other people to do things to themselves is brilliant, trying to cover there tracks from the officer using their minds was epic never saw that one coming. Sad part was I think when the evil twins went head to head during the movie and that got very interesting! I would recommend this movie to any horror fans as it fantastically awesome, won't get bored keep you intrigued throughout. Massive fan keep up the good work! Hope to see the Entin Twins in more films :-)

Tss5078 After Dark Originals are known for being extreme horror films for the true horror aficionado. Most of these films have been as advertised, but no one has a hundred percent success rate. Seconds Apart follows Seth and Jonah, two nerdy twins, with extreme twin powers, mainly telepathy. They have fun pulling pranks and using it against the people they perceive to have wronged them, leaving them in a world all their own, but that all changes when a girl gets in the middle of things. The inherit problem with this film, is that these twins aren't creepy at all. Casting decided to go with looks over horror and these two look like they should be on magazines, like they would never have problems with bullies or girls, and as for psychotic killers with superpowers go, these two are so mild-mannered, that it made the story completely unbelievable. When you add to that the fact that Orlando Jones is the investigating detective at this upscale religious school, cracking jokes that no one gets, the film itself becomes the horror show. The story itself wasn't terrible, but the problem here is one we see all too often, the casting. These twins may be good for the Disney channel, but they aren't cut out to be psychopaths. I just found the whole film to be full of cliché's and very poorly done.

trashgang It's all about telepathy, not that it is bad at all but it wasn't my cup of tea. It do has some really nice shots and mind tricks but the red stuff isn't their. Don't get me wrong, it isn't necessary (think Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre) but then you will need suspense and here it's all about the talking. Be warned, the first minutes are really well done, it do has some suspense and some bloody shots but after the begin credits it falls into one speech after the other. The acting is really okay and the way it was filmed too but if you go into the world of telepathy then I think more like Videodrome or gory stuff like that.

Maz Murdoch (asda-man) I felt it I know that the "After Dark Horrorfest" often do really bad horror films that are just clichéd with very little interesting characters or action. The only exception being the mesmerising "Frontier(s)". Obviously "Seconds Apart" is no where near the standard of "Frontier(s)" but it is a very interesting, watchable and enjoyable film! I would very happily watch "Seconds Apart" again, just for it's pure bravery to go beyond the conventional slasher or ghost story and create quite a complex blend of narrative and characters.Just imagine Jedward but even more terrifying. Even though I am convinced that this is probably what Jedward get up to and I'm pretty sure that if john or Edward got a girlfriend they would end up killing each other. But anyway, getting away from the point! The twins are really interesting characters to have to front the film. They are the protagonists but pure evil. They're performances are really chilling and they are well-written characters which is nice to see. Geroge Richards (the writer) manages to make them completely unlikable and likable at the same time. they're fascinating! Unfortunately the burnt black cop isn't quite so interesting as the boys and his story, although complex and well thought out is unnecessary and quite annoying."Seconds Apart" is directed like a music video. It's got almost too much style with lots of cuts and fades to black and jump cuts that can be quite off-putting but also quite nice to see. I know I'm not making any sense but I did quite like the mad-cap editing in some places. It was obviously well thought-out and broke away from the boring static conventions which we find in every single horror film! The cinematography was really excellent though and the set-pieces such as the twins creepy old house were really well done.Although the story was OK I couldn't help but feel it could've gone better. I think I would've preferred to have seen more drama and sibling rivalry when Jonah or Seth (can't tell 'em apart!) got a girlfriend because I found that prospect really interesting. However instead they decided to focus much more on the detective getting closer to them which was exciting but not as interesting. I think the fight seen at the end of the film could've been better also.The score and music in general was really well done here, it's got a creepy edge to it and is memorable. Overall (especially me actually being a twin) it was quite a creepy and fascinating insight. With stylish direction, thoughtful writing and glorious characters! With some tweaks this could've been a really great film, but is instead just a really good film. But oh well, it was fun and although there could've been a little more gore the deaths were disturbing and creative anyways. I'm giving it a very solid 7 out of 10 which is definitely leaning more towards the 8 side. Definitely worth a watch.
