Kodie Bird True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

ApeLieUproar I caught the last hour or so of this, so no comment on the film as a whole. I remember seeing it when I was younger but I don't remember a lick.Anyway, the film builds up to the confrontation between the un-killable killer and the kung fu fighting sheriff-with the revenant killer murdering a bunch of people and the sheriff trying to figure out what's going on-but then fizzles out. Chuck Norris, who plays the sheriff and the killer (played by an actor you may who you may recognize if you've seen 'The Shawshank Redemption') fight a bit, with Norris kicking the killer in the face a good many times. Predictably, none of this fazes the killer much so the sheriff's solution to the problem is throwing his opponent down a well. After seeing the mute murderer survive several bullet wounds to the torso and an explosion in a truck, why did he think throwing him down a well would finish him off? It's possibly the lamest ending to a movie ever.
Thy Davideth Silent Rage is about some psychotic retard who kills his relatives and then is killed himself to only be resurrected through scientific experiment and then goes on a killing spree. I liked this one. The acting was actually okay and the idea is cheesy fun but of course seeing Chuck beating ass is always the highlight of every one of his films. My favorite scene, however, is when the killer chop this guys head after getting hit with a chair. That scene was shot in such a bad way, it was funny. Recommended if you a Chuck Norris fan.
bensonmum2 I first saw Silent Rage while in college in the mid-80s. I think it ran on HBO/Cinemax every month. I must have seen it at least 6 times. It mixed two of my favorite movie genres – slashers and action. To me, the movie played like Michael Myers meets Chuck Norris. And I'm pretty sure that's what the filmmakers were going for. At the time, Chuck Norris had a pretty big following and slashers were all the rage. Why not mix the two?Having not seen Silent Rage in about three decades, there's a lot I had forgotten. I was surprised at how many of the (now) predictable slasher clichés there are in this movie – a killer who can't be killed, a killer who seems capable of quietly materializing near his next victim, false scares followed almost immediately by the real thing, a good jump scare right before the final credits, conveniently placed weapons, and a good guy who acts as if all this is completely normal. Silent Rage has 'em all. So, how does Silent Rage hold up? On the positive side of things there are some pretty decent fight scenes (the bar fight is especially enjoyable), a creepy killer, and Chuck Norris playing the whole thing as straight-faced as you can imagine. On the negative side, you've got copious amounts so filler (including the previously mentioned bar fight which has nothing to do with the rest of the film), a complete lack of logic, and Stephen Furst's off-putting comic relief. Overall, though, I still found Silent Rage entertaining. I think a bulk of the credit has to go to Brian Libby. His creepy John Kirby is as good and effective a killer as you'll find in any of the 80s slasher movies. It's a nice performance.
Actorsactiondotorg SILENT RAGE (1982) Rated R An ugly creepy ax murderer gets blown away by cops, yet later on a slab at the clinic, he gets healed by three scientists' genetic formula experiment. In a secret test, they argue over the ethics of trying it on a human.Figuring the autopsy is over, the Sheriff stops by and he wants the body - but the top scientist delays that ! because the dude is alive again, and loose on a non-stop killing spree.Shot or stabbed, his wounds heal in seconds, and he's baaaaack. It is creepy as *beep* as he stalks victims. At the hospital, in homes, and elsewhere....Chuck Norris plays the Sheriff.Ron Silver plays a psychiatrist doctor.Stephen Furst is the big lovable goofy Deputy.Plus it has sleazy Biker Babes baring boobs.A 9/10 Rating for wicked thriller/slasher/action.
