Clevercell Very disappointing...
Kidskycom It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.
Verity Robins Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Rosie Searle It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Joseph Sylvers Sweedish comedy gold. It was funny, pretty, and fast paced. This Twin Peakeque little Sweedish, town full of oddballs; manic depressive police chiefs, amateur film makers, drug addicts, giants, etc, yields up a murder and conspiracy. Well worn territory, but never worn so well as here. Perspectives and chronology jump around as with Ritche and Tarantino, who are being subtly parodied, however this is, as much if not more, of a film about the contradictory impulses involved in "going home" than it is, a tour through small town's underbelly. The soundtrack is mostly bouncing indie pop, which helps keep interest during the camera's many first person drives through the city. I haven't been as pleasantly surprised by a comedy like this in a long time. Anyone interested in a fun, whimsical, and inventive good time, see here.
idgleep Absolutely great movie. In the style of "Pulp Fiction" or "Trainspotting" (sort of). Very pulpy and alive. Hilarious full characters and wonderfuls plot development with plenty of hilarious lines and laughable twists and turns! RENT IT!! You won't be sorry. When I see most movies I feel like I can figure out the plot within moments. I always have the feeling that I know what is going on next and I am usually right, but this movie was different. It kept me on my toes and had a great presentation ( original adaptation of an old standard). "Smala Susie" is definitely one of my new top ten movies of all time. I rented it and have bought it shortly afterwards!!
dying_fetus Was this movie suppose to be good, or do you have to live in Värmland to appreciate it? 'Cause I found it to be way over hyped on all plans, the only good thing about it, was the actor performance by Kjell Bergqvist. It has come to my mind that Ulf Malmros is way over credited for his movies, he is definitely not as good as some people portrait him to be.This movie is NOT for everyone, be sure you live in Värmland or close to it, so you can relate to all the bums who seems to be living there (met a friend where I study, who told me it was really like that where she comes from, Torsby). I don't hope anyone foreigner watches this movie and think the Swedes are such bums as they are portraited as in the movie.
abhishek_pamecha I dont know a shred of Swedish but it turns out one doesnt need to know it to enjoy the movie. Although the plot got completely clear to me after the reviews I read here, but who cares as long the movie is funny (really funny, I mean) and all the scenes live out.All the actors did a great job, (I cant comment on dialogues :-( but songs from Polsa were hilarious and so was the police officer. There is pornography and drugs involved, but to make the scenes more abruptly funny, For ex, when Polsa is introduced first. What I did found out when I watched the movie was that Sussie was murdered and who killed her was revealed in the end. Lot of funny incidents in between. I will buy this movie's DVD.
