Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

Not bad, basically a stomp version of pitch perfect.
For the women a emotional rollercoaster of a film with feminism and womenhood at the core of the subject, having to yet again defeat the opreopres of man and (racism).
For the man, u can deal with it few funny moments and attractive women in tight fitting active wear basically stomping and bouncing for the film. SPOILER ALERT
(Something about the blond at the end definitely ticks a box)
All in all a good film could prob knock one off to it be you male or female.Makes you wish you could re live your days and we'll . . . . Have friends . :'(

This entire movie was so cringe. They could have made it where SBB had a viral video that involved something on race, instead of a sex scandal could have made the movie a bit better.

"Step Sisters" is an absolute disgrace and an insult to real filmmaking and filmmakers. The "social commentary" here is disgustingly overt and rude to anyone with a functioning brain. It is as if the creators said' "Let's make a movie that just pokes fun at white people and then we'll pretend like we're trying to send a meaningful message about race." Real films like "In The Heat of the Night," Spike Lee's "Do the Right Thing," & Jordan Peele's soon to be revered classic, "Get Out" all deliver hard hitting and thoughtful social commentary that provokes thought through the expert use of film as a device. This... Abomination... I don't even know where to begin... We start out with our snotty protagonist who is trying to get into Harvard. She is barely black, incredibly wealthy, has two loving parents & acts and carries herself like a normal respectable being. Why is this girl talking about the plight of being black? Racism is real, yes; but was this affluent snob really the best character to deliver a message about the struggles of race? I live in my deceased Grandfather's 70 year old house, my divorced parents could never possibly afford college for myself and I have been denied every scholarship that I've applied for. I guess my white privilege wasn't enough to get me where I wanted to be in life. So, moving on: Our protagonist is met with a dilemma: If she wants to assure that she is accepted into Harvard (yes, Harvard) she must betray her race and her black sistas by teaching a bunch of uncoordinated, stereotypical, stupid white sorority girls how to step dance for a charity contest. I just lost brain cells explaining the plot. From here on it is just complete stupidity. Our selfless race-traitor protagonist puts her friendships on the line, and her unmatched skill and intellect to use in aiding these white simpletons! Through love and the embrace of white guilt, the ignorant sorority girls are able to grow as step dancers! Screw all of you were involved in the making of this film. This is no "empowerment" or even a brutally release is retelling of history, this is demeaning and idiotic. I wonder what movies got passed on so that this schlock could be made so Netflix could meet their diversity quota.
