Yash Wade Close shines in drama with strong language, adult themes.
Shadowjac "Fast food makes you fat and is unhealthy" that is basically all there is to this movie it's just stating information that anyone watching it should already know, it's not a huge secret. Honestly it ticks me off that this film is so anti fast food companies, if you honestly believe that McDonald's is causing problems for your health ( which if you go everyday it definitely is) just stop going it's not that hard, go to your local grocery store and pick up bread and some lunch meat and some mayo, (very cheap) make yourself some sandwiches.Stop blaming McDonald's for your poor choices
Harrison wallace To be honest, I heard about this film a while back and dismissed it because one the title is ridiculous and two as a kid I felt unstoppable. However, watching the first five minutes in my English class it inspired me to watch it. In the beginning, I felt like he was a arrogant guy trying to defend McDonalds, but as the film progressed he was defending both sides until the end where he looked so uncomfortable he could not tell which side he supported. The best parts of the film I thought were the interviews with strangers and school employees, the three doctors' analysis, and the constant reminder that our children and our selves can seriously be affected or are already affected by this. The parts that I did not like was the reality show theme to it. I felt it was over dramatically placed. Having more people do the diet, I feel that would resonate more. I personally felt there was an overall tone of mockery or something to that extent that really pulled away from the pathos of the story as well as the logos. However, there were to many facts that could not be missed due to the fact of the sheer credibility of some of them. In terms of ethos, I felt biased due to the first impression that I did not trust him, but by the end I at least listened to his other sources. The onslaught of video work, text, and audio work don on this documentary was outstanding. Even though I felt it was a bad film and would not watch it again really shows that the facts in it really make you think about what you eat. It is a good enough film to watch once. More than that maybe not.
MrJoe1987 So, let me get this straight. Eating 5,000 calories, everyday, with no exercise will make you fat? Lord have mercy. How could I have been so stupid?Look here, people... This documentary is ridiculous. If you honestly believe for a second that you can eat anything in the amounts that he was and not gain weight, I pity you; you're an idiot. Granted, processed foods have the added bonus of slowly shutting down your body's systems when you eat nothing but processed foods, but eating processed food as a last resort, or a treat (both the former and the latter being consumed on occasion; "on occasion" being every 1-3 months), is not going to kill you or make you sick. Don't be stupid.Fast food is not the evil culprit of obesity in this country; it's just a factor among many factors. We live in a society of stupidity, laziness, and unrestrained pleasure-seeking. What do you expect? Thin, happy, faithful people with mental clarity and no addiction? Give me a break.
Forest G After watching this documentary I really lost my appetite, I gave it 10 score at that time.I gave it 8 now, because now that I think again, you are not supposed to eat if you are already full and this guy eat three McD meals per day no matter what he felt. It's like forcing himself to get that result in the end..Yea I am bit skeptical., but I still think this is good documentary with a good message, but yea I don't think it is 100% legit. I would gladly changed my mind if somebody duplicate his experiment again. But in the end it has good message that we should do healthy diet, even if it's not 100% legit.
