Reviews

WillSushyMedia This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Humaira Grant It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Ravi Singh Surakksha Directed By Ravikant Nagaich is A Spy Action Thriller. Direction is Average To Poor. Screenplay & Script is Similar To Any Spy Movie Nothing Extraordinary. Most Disappointing is Cinematography & Editing. There Are Few Technical & Characters Errors. SSO is An Organisation Which Intends To Spread Terror. CBI Agent Gopi(Mithun Chakraborty) Also Known As Gunmaster G9 is Appointed To Investigate The Case By CBI Chief (Iftekhar). Meanwhile Gopi Meets Priya(Ranjeeta).Priya's Father is Killed By SSO. Further Investigation Leads Them To Heeralal(Jeevan) Who Works For Scientist Shiva(Balaje). How They Face Them ?Acting By Mithun is Natural. Ranjeeta is Fine. Jeevan is Wasted. Music is Good By Bappi Lahiri . "Mausam Hai Gaane Ka" is Best Of The Lot.
silvan-desouza In 60s and 70s spy films started coming in Bollywood, from FARZ to AGENT VINOD(1977), Suraksha released in 1979 and also made Mithun a star. The film was followed by a sequel WARDAAT The film had him play an agent of CBI with a codename Gunmaster G9. The film is a decent timepass watch with good twists and turns and technical wizadry of 70s and does make for an interesting watch At times we have forced comedy too but it does keep you involved. There are at times some unintentional hilarious scenes, especially for those watching it today.Direction is good Music was a big hit, and the Bhappi Lahiri and Mithun jodi was a big hit then.Mithun Chakraborthy does his part well, though very raw those days yet he does leave a mark.Ranjeeta is good in her part Jeevan is as usual, theatrical while Jagdeep is as usual Tej Sapru made his debut and he is good, Iftekar is as usual Aruna Irani has a cameo, K Balaji as the villain is good rest are okay
Ram_Gangaram This is one of the worse stich-up of films that became norm after the 1975. Most of the scenes are taken straight from the Sean Connery starer James Bond franchise and kung fu genre films. The film follows investigation of Gunmaster G9 played by Mithun Chakraborty to track enemies of world. He tries to expose a mysterious organization called SSO. In the quest he is joined by Jagdeep and Priya to find a missing colleague named jackson. The film has several loopholes and editing is at worse. Some of the scene like the funeral procession in cemetery is taken from "Live and Let Die". The kung-fu sequences are plain copy of Bruce Lee movies, the SSO constructs so called Sun Ray machine thats straight from "Diamonds are Forever". With the exception of Mithun, iftekar, jagdeep and Tej Sapru other's acting is pathetic. The loud background music, mismatched sequences and unrelated songs make this movie a pain to watch. Incidentally there are limited movies in Bollywood that touch spy genre as done by Hollywood. However if you are looking for a good plot and gadget bollywood film there are some good movies like Dharmendra starer Ankhen, Charas or Jeetendra's Farz.
namashi_1 Gunmaster G-9 is a cult film figure, Mithunda played the character with style.'Surakksha' is remembered till today, for Mithunda's killer dances and of course his ever-natural acting. The songs were Chartbusters.Mausam Hai, Gaana Ke, Baja Ne Ka, Sune Ka, Suna Ne Ka, Raathoon Ko, Jagana Ka. Yeh Jeevan Yeh Sapna Hai Deewani Ka. Oh man, what a classic! I've the film long back, all I remember is the songs, and Mithunda dancing on them.Mithunda made 2 sequels to 'Surakksha'... which were also fun & had superb songs. Gunmaster G-9, the Indian Bond... is nothing short of Cult.
