Why so much hype?
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

"Suspicious" is a 14-minute short film from over 20 years ago. Writer and director is David Koepp. The cast includes 2 somewhat famous names: Emmy nominee Janeane Garofalo and Michael Rooker from "The Walking Dead". The movie was kinda okay in terms of thrill and drama, but it was never really scary and I personally never cared a lot for the characters in here. Luckily it wasn't longer, otherwise my rating would have been even lower. Koepp certainly enjoyed a big breakthrough soon after this film, especially as a writer, but his talent is not too visible here. And as the title says, there is something suspicious about the film's IMDb page too. The rating is incredibly low, way too low, even if I did not like the film. But all the reviews are overwhelmingly positive in a way that only actors or crew could see the film. Looks like something fishy in both directions. I personally don't think this was a failure as the rating suggests, but it also wasn't a good watch. Not recommended.

I'm absolutely dumb-founded as to why this has received such low votes. I saw this short on the sci-fi channels show exposure, and found it downright terrifying. Sure the story isn't entirely original, but that's because its an urban legend! The acting was fantastic, the cinematography was great - everything about this movie was just wonderful. You have to see it if you get the chance. I for one am hoping Mr. Koepp chooses to release it on a special edition of Stir Of Echoes.

I saw this short film on SciFi's Exposure, and it really freaked me out, and I thought it was a great film, and brilliantly directed. David Koepp's been a favorite director and writer of mine ever since. The story really builds as you watch it and you definitely get a little perspective while watching it.

I saw this short on Sci-Fi Channel's "Exposure" and it completely blew me away. The story is about a paranoid woman suspicious of anyone who looks at her as she is driving one night. The filming is done is such a way that you experience the people she encounters through her perspective. So as not to give anything away, I'll simply say that this short leaves you dumbfounded. This ten minute film is better than most full-length movies I've seen. I highly recommend watching this.
