Ameriatch One of the best films i have seen
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
Aerialzap Actually is one of the few movies from Puerto Rico that I really enjoyed. I think the only bad thing that I can say about it was that it could have been less of the expedition and more of the tribe. But the story is very original, we know is a fictional story but what if Tainos were not extinct. The actors were very good at their performances specially the main character the Indian. The music was amazing and inspiring. I hope we see a second part. The main photography was beautiful, the lake, the forest and the mountains. And the DVD extras are as entertaining as the movie. This movie is should be at least seen by every citizen of Puerto Rico.
hizzonna When u wanna try see a good movie and and relax urself..look for some action and entrainment...please avoid this bad, bad, bad movie because it is the class of movie that made Ed Wood look good .the script have to be in top 10 worst script ever..the plot is really weak...not character development ..this movie try to be the Puerto version of "the land of lost", and i lost my time when saw Tainos.Time and resources have been waste in this production. i have seen better stories in comics and children short stories with more deep and better story telling.. just don't waste ur time in this movie. the director tried to shot an action movie with some element of suspense sadly it is not well accomplished. Finally i Will say that the quality of photogenic is not bad at all but not help the script...
David Ramos I lost 117 minutes of my life. How bad is this movie? It's worst than you think. I was warned about this movie but the only reason for me to watch it, was because it was free at my university campus, and my girl wanted to watch it so I told to myself "It can be that bad!" Well it was bad; it's still bad and will always be bad. I'm proud of our Puertorrican Taino ancestors but this movie was an insult to them, first they were killed by the Spanish invaders and now in a bad movie; they deserved a better ending! Some actors are OK, not good but OK, others are just plain bad. The scenery I must admit was beautiful but for a nice picture I can watch the National Geographic, in a movie I want good drama, acting, script, and directing. The idea of an indigenous Taino tribe in the 21st century Puerto Rico is like cavemen in New York, it just doesn't work unless you do a comedy.OK! The idea is still "original", but original doesn't mean necessarily "good".The characters were one-dimensional and not well developed and their interactions were silly and stereotypical like in a bad soap opera and the acting and dialogs were so non-intelligent, the good guys made no sense the bad guys even less, they were all about guns and stupid macho clichés like in those "low budget direct to video bad action movies". And the plot was all forced, there was no real drama here, there was nothing to keep you interested, everything was so predictable, ridicule and boring. My advice is not to waste your time and money on this one; this is probably the worst Puertorrican movie ever.
Tarzan1900 Ohh God this movie was so bad! Thanks god I didn't pay to watch it. After more than a year I haven't found a single person claiming that this was any good. This movie is so bad that the only people who dares to post good comment are the Producer (Eduardo Correa) and the Director (Benjamin Lopez a.k.a."estudiob")and that's cheating!! This is what happened when you mix a bad director, bad script, and very bad amateur actors (I take that back! they can't be called "actors"! my apologies to the real hard working actors). The only good thing about this disaster was the photography, it was fairly good, and the same can be said about the voice sound. But that's it, the rest is unwatchable. The plot is so, so, ridicule, and let me explain to those not from Puerto Rico, this is a 100 x 35 miles island, the simple idea that you can hide and ancient Taino tribe for 500 years is more than ridicule. But even a ridicule plot can be saved with a good story and excellent performances; Well that's not the case here: first those cheesy dialogs were a torture for the ears, the acting was pathetic and amateur (they put no effort to get REAL ACTORS!), in the so called "dramatic moments" they used "cheesy-80'slike-B-movie-sound effect", and the director has no concept of visual story telling and sense of drama, the whole movie was an stereotypical homage of bad 80's adventure B-movies (just there's nothing exiting in this so called "adventure movie").This is the kind o movie responsible for the bad reputation of puertorrican cinema. Many puertorricans want to see good movies done at the island; unfortunately most of the times this is what they get and in disappointment the public no longer support their very few local productions, because now "Made in Puerto Rico" means "It's a bad movie".
