After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I've seen my share of stinkers. There is no way this movie is in the same category as them, IMHO. Sit back and enjoy it for what it is. This is a moderately interesting whodunnit with a few twists. Some of the twists and turns may be predictable, some not.Not every movie can be Oscar material, folks. Sometimes a movie can entertain without a superb script, and without top-of-their game performances.I thought it was well-done to the point where it least held my interest.

The producers love to take the credit for things well done, and slip behind the guise of lack of accountability when movies fail. This movie falls into the latter category. It is an example of what can happen when the producers limit all artistic control of anyone who reports to them. Heck, as stated at Sundance, the director did not even have an opportunity to see the movie after shooting until Sundance! I think this movie should be a lesson to all producers about what not to do:if you hire a director with a history of success, trust them, let them direct. For people aspiring to become directors: learn what can happen if you foresee no artistic freedom under a producer. For movie-goers who love movies, stay away from this one.

Did everyone else here see the same movie I did? I bought the DVD the other day because I'm a huge Eddie Kaye Thomas fan (I thought he stole all three American Pies) and slightly obsessed with Amber Benson (I still miss Buffy!), and I was not let down. In fact I thought it was one of Eddie's stronger performances, and an all-around really good movie. If I had one complaint, it's about the DVD. Where are the extras? I know I shouldn't expect as much from a film that was obviously made pretty cheaply, but I would have expected something more tha JUST the movie. So while I'm going to give the movie a nine (the rest of you are just plain WRONG), I'm only going to give the DVD a five.

A cheesy, compellingly awful (and NOT in a fun way) C Grade movie. Everything shouts 'amateur', from the crumby script (bizarre premises, limited coherence and predictable endings; the turgid lighting, sound and hand-held wobbly camera angles; the coy and passe sexual inneundo and references; the patchy and unbelievable dialgoue to the Z rate acting. I saw it on DVD and kept hoping Edward Wood would pop out. All is forgiven - your Worst Films are works of art, and more coherent than this twaddle. But still, preferable to the warbling 'Every night in my dreams I hear you' - are you sure the Titanic crew weren't involved in this on the side?
