CommentsXp Best movie ever!
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
dylanhamilton-71840 I scrolled down the rewiews for this piece of garbage for 1 minute and every single review was a 10 out of ten. The top review was by a ten year old, what would he know? This film was based off a show on cartoon network that was based off a cartoon (that was also on cartoon network) from the early 2000's that was really good. The people at cartoon network wanted to cash in on the success of the first show and made this one by assuming what kids today think is funny, such as fart jokes. Just look at ANY cn show in the past decade (uncle granpa, clarence etc) they are just looking for money. If you are a parent looking for a good show for your child, stay away from this channel and this movie. Put on the old show, make a movie, reboot it, just anything but this... madness
Thomas Drufke Was it entirely necessary to try and make this film the "Deadpool for Kids" for the DC Universe? No, I don't think so. They very well could have taken a more straightforward approach to the film however, I also know that DC was killing for a success in the theaters. Sure, this is different from the live action debacles they've had, but it at least brought the DC name back into the fold as a company that is capable of making good films. I don't watch the Teen Titans show religiously, but I have seen episodes here and there and it certainly succeeds in giving its demographic silly fun. And me, a 24 year old, is far from the demographic they were going for. The film contains irreverent potty mouth humor throughout, and some of the jokes I actually thought were quite funny. At least, the little kid in me thought so. Does it do anything new for the superhero genre or blow the doors off in terms of animation? No, but its consistently funny and never varies in quality. This may be exactly the right type of superhero movie we needed.7.6/10
Mr-Fusion A refreshing change from the dour DCEU we've had to put up with. I had a lot of fun with this movie, from the story to the cast and even the songs. None of this is new; it's characteristic of the TV show. It's just been a few years since I've had access to Cartoon Network's nonstop reruns. But the magic is still there, and the show makes the jump to movies nicely. And it looks fantastic! The most important thing about this movie is the irreverent sense of humor. There's welcome light brought to these gods of the DC universe and it's rife with gags (Nicolas Cage as Superman!). It's eighty minutes of happiness!
adonis98-743-186503 A villain's maniacal plan for world domination sidetracks five teenage superheroes who dream of Hollywood stardom. Teen Titans Go! To the Movies seemed like a mistake from the start and unfortunately it really was. This movie was basically all fart jokes, booty sequences and alot and i mean alot of pop references and singing that after a while do get tired. The voice acting was also pretty awful especially the choice of having Nicolas Cage as Superman and despite some good references and a cool end credits scene? It's really not worth it as a whole. (2/10)
