For the past two years, Ryan and Amy Green have been working on That Dragon, Cancer, a videogame about their son Joel's fight against that disease. Following the family through the creation of the game and the day-to-day realities of Joel’s treatment, David Osit and Malika Zouhali-Worrall create a moving testament to the joy and heartbreak of raising a terminally ill child.

Taha Avalos The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
teleri_ch Not having much experience with this topic, I found this film to be a very interesting story told from the point of view of Ryan, a father whose baby develops cancer at an extremely young age. It follows the ups and downs of the father's journey and his story of how he copes along the way with his wife and family by creating a situation-based video game relating to these experiences. What I loved about this film was his use of animation to portray his emotions in a way that I never thought possible, I found the graphic animation of the father's created moments through video game medium often more moving than the parents themselves talking about what they were feeling. It gives you an insight as to why he chose to choose this project and successfully raises the awareness of cancer in young children.
