(Long Synopsis) "This action-packed, fantasy-fueled family adventure – inspired by the revered literary Christian classic, The Pilgrim’s Progress – overflows with outrageous characters, special effects … and a moral message. In The Wylds, young Chris (Solomon Ray) is a runaway living with a group of other misfit kids in a junkyard, all under the watchful eye of a Dickens-esque character who forces them to steal to survive. When Chris is caught pilfering at a church, the pastor protects him from the police, then challenges him to find his estranged father. Chris bravely chooses to leave his family of thieves and ventures into the wilderness in search of a better life. Traveling through a post-apocalyptic future – his only hope lies in reaching a heavenly paradise that will surpass his wildest dreams – he outwits bandits, escapes swamp monsters, battles evil robots and learns valuable life lessons about choosing the right path."

Reviews

Beystiman It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.
Glucedee It's hard to see any effort in the film. There's no comedy to speak of, no real drama and, worst of all.
ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
taniastar360 Take a shot every time they make an overly religious metaphor, or quote the Bible. Drunk is the only way to watch this movie. *(note: please don't play this drinking game, you will get alcohol poisoning) Its utterly awful. The reviews are the best part about it! Stale acting Horrid scrip Horrendous soundtrack And I cannot begin to describe how plainly awful the special effects are. The only thing scenes I could stand to watch, were those with Iggy because he was the most normal one in it AND HE IS IN LEAGUE WITH THE DEVIL. A waste of £3. As if the tescos horse meat scandal wasn't enough. If you want to watch something with better drama and acting watch episodes of doctor Who from the 70s, at least the special effects are better.
e_farwell After spending the time that can never be recovered by watching this film, I can only hope that the MPAA will come up with a rating that will warn us. Awful is really too kind a category. Is there a sub-zero? I purchased the film because of the Christian theme with the intention of giving it to a relative who teaches a youth class at church. The premise that this movie would hold the attention of teens is probably correct in that it would give them a good laugh. There did seem to be a theme that followed "Pilgrim's Progress" and there were some interesting scenes, but the attempts at special effects and scenery so distracted you that the film became totally useless. I will not be donating this film to the church library!
Mikelane1987 Brought in Tesco for £2 thought it looked good.Got home watched & basically wasted about 2 hours of my life. It's thinly disguised religious junk, for those of you who are not religious give this film a miss.Basically the plot has a lot to do with things in the bible, over coming trouble (if you repent the heavenly father will accept you with open arms).Don't waste your money or you time.Would have given it half a star but the ratings don't go that low. The tag lines are not true. It's not an adventure film at all. On the case it says it's like the chronicles of Narnia whoever wrote that did so only to make people buy this drek.
slatromhsiloof Yet another "religious" group misleading innocent people into spending their hard earned money on what amounts to rotting garbage. The only message I got from this film is "don't trust religious organizations." Dishonest people make me sick. Dishonest religious people even more so. These people need to get right with God and return everyone's money for intentionally misleading them into buying this trash. Terrible, terrible film. Production values are below substandard, acting was on par with a grade school play, special effects look like they were done on a $200 notebook by a ten year old boy. I couldn't even follow the story as my mind kept drifting off to more entertaining thoughts- like taking out the garbage, and cleaning out the crud under the toilet bowl rim. Shame on everyone involved with this film. Passing this off as entertainment amounts to thievery. I expect this behavior from sleazy Hollywood producer types, not from people who call themselves Christians. Do not spend a dime of your hard earned money on this putrid mess. It only encourages these slimy, dishonest people to make more films like it in the future.
