How wonderful it is to see this fine actress carry a film and carry it so beautifully.

it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

I can imagine that some people might be put off by the film's ironic attitude towards the media and gangster movies. Maybe it takes a spitefully uncommon sense of humour to go along with the teasing and (self-) depreciative mood that at times is exposed. The opening scene already dwells on this attitude, when exactly those things are performed that the lead character, a scriptwriter and would be writer, tells us he would never do in a movie. All the while you will get off comments that either give a deeper "truth" to or foil what you are seeing, and almost every aspect of modern culture is made fun of: TV, modern art (I believe Velibor Topic's character is not French like some reviewer said, but rather ex-Yugoslavian - hence his comment that it would be easy for him to get corpses in his home country, I simply cannot imagine that of France ;)), the close relations between the USA and the UK, religion, Batman, French movies etc. The real highlight of the movie is the wonderful soundtrack, music you are not likely to hear in other movies and I must admit that it incited me to look for at least digital copies.BTW Danny Dyer and Martin Freeman do get a scene together but one of them is no longer able to talk.

Oh dear. good cast, but to write and direct is an art and to write wit and direct wit is a bit of a task. Even doing good comedy you have to get the timing and moment right. Im not putting it all down there were parts where i laughed loud but that was at very few times. The main focus to me was on the fast free flowing dialogue, that made some people in the film annoying. It may sound great while reading the script in your head but getting that out and to the camera is a different task. And the hand held camera work does give energy to few parts of the film. Overall direction was good but the script was not all that to me, but I'm sure you was reading the script in your head it would sound good. Sorry.

...that's what this film is. And yes, made for peanuts which apparently makes it open season for some film critics to attack it. Remember all the fuss about movies like Clerks and El Mariachi? Good grief 'The All Together' is funnier than the former and better looking than the latter! I love Martin Freeman but he's about the fifth funniest character in this. It's packed with laughs and the dialogue is so memorable. So why isn't this movie getting the praise it deserves?Anything new and different (that isn't a miserable worthy drama) gets savaged by the film geeks in this country. Don't believe these sad little men (as they all seem to be male). I've seen this twice now and both times the audience were loving it and at the end it got applause!

Was a flip between this and 28 weeks later. Glad I made the decision to see this film. It felt rough along the edges, and there was a small period of time when I wondered if this was to be a chuckle once film. However, as the story built it simply got funnier. The storyline was so obscure and unusual that it felt fresh, and original, even if it was a bit low budget. With an array of strange characters, A low grade "gangster", a crazy screwed up TV presenter and even a clown, this films suited to those people that need a laugh, and don't expect a big budget Mel Gibson thriller. Think of this film as a low budget Shaun of the Dead.
