Brilliant and touching

If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

A fairly predictable movie, but it's probably what you wanted to see if you tuned it in. And it serves its purpose and satisfies your "feel good movie" craving. It works. Shona Kay is stunning of course and delivers a solid performance here. My only complaint is the sound. The music overpowers the dialog constantly. In many scenes, changing camera angles introduced a noticeable echo mid sentence. In short, the sound quality is terrible.

It's a lightweight, fairly decent movie if you like powderpuff pieces about horrible, vacuous, unpleasant, unkind, rich women who change the habits of a lifetime within a few weeks, all because they find the right man (and maybe god), this is the movie for you.The acting is passable, although not wonderful. The female lead seems several years too old for the role and for her behaviour. Also it would have been nice if someone had told her to cut the last 6 inches of dry, split ends from her hair.I was going to give it 4 stars but took off 2 of them because too much god at the end.

Horrible acting. Don't waste your time. Simply the worst move.

I've been fairly impressed with the Hallmark movies, but this one was a real bomb. Predicable and contrived, the only thing left was to invest in the main characters. Isabelle, the "beautiful beast" was neither. She was just whiny, selfish, and elitist. The amount of time it takes for her to wake up (not a spoiler, because you know it's going to happen) is unrealistically short. There's just way too much suspension of reality here. And the pacing makes us see much more of the bad than the good, which leaves unresolved aspects of the ending. Trust me-skip this one.
