Better Late Then Never

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Asad Almond
A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

I give it 1 star because I find it offensive to show Obama a confirmed Muslim and Christian hater at beginning of this. Whose idea was that. don't you remember his remark about Christians? he is a number one Agent for Anti Christ and ISIS supporter. just look around. the series itself is all over the place.so disconnected . a twelve year old must have directed this. the only part they got right is the Devil which looks exactly like Obama.

I think that the writers stuck to biblical truths. It was put together very well. The only thing that I find to be confusing or highly inaccurate is the fact that mostly every cast member or Jew is very poor looking and darker skinned. However, as soon as we introduce Jesus into the film all of a sudden their skin lightens up to nearly white complexion and they don't seem to fit in with any of their people, neither Jesus, Mary, or Joseph. It just looks awkward to me. We know that he had skin like brass and hair like wool, you depict him with skin like the clouds and hair like a horse and not a sheep with wool. Is it that hard to be accurate? Also, I wish that there was a little more about Mary Jesus's wife.

I have to say that the bible isn't there to be picked apart by wanna-be critics. The people who wrote and directed this mini-series didn't do it to make people happy-they did it to show the true stories depicted. Yes the Israelites were fighters-at some points they had to be! And the Nebuchanezzar episode? That story is absolutely true and happened just as you saw (or in some of your cases, you didn't make it that far-just the second episode?) just as CHRISTIANS (not Xtians) read these stories, and grew up hearing them (myself included), the stories are depicted. I do wish they had included a bit more in the story of Joseph. That is my only complaint. I watch this series because the way they come across rings true. It isn't i overacting if the words, emotions, and reactions are taken from the pages of the bible.

the scenery, costumes, actors, are great, but the fidelity to the story....what about the fact that, even after the Israelites received the 10 commandments from God, they are presented as blood thirsty, killing any other with such thirst. I doubt they were like that, or that the Bible presents them so! In the name of God, and saying that God was with them they used to kill whoever stand in their way?! C'MON! this sounds like catholic crusades! I saw no episode of Benyamin in Egypt! was that not important?! I think this is one of the most important stories in the old Testament. I'm at the 3'rd episode, but already have a bitter taste. that line at the beginning, with "staying true to the story..." right! NOT!
