Diagonaldi Very well executed
ChicRawIdol A brilliant film that helped define a genre
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
strjico-95598 This is the best movies I have seen in a very long time. Very intense making, emotions were flying with the superheroes with it. Fantastic. I wonder why they could not bring this greatness other than animated movies.
amerikasend This animated film was okay. For the second Superman dies animated film in 10 years or so, this one is better than Superman: Doomsday. The movie took it a bit long to get going and it doesn't really seem to follow the comics that much other than superman dies. They could've cut the whole part about Lois and Clark's relationship woes as that isn't that relevant to the storyline and seemed like pure filler. In the comics Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman didn't take part in the initial fight against Doomsday, but since they're more well-known than Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Maxima, I can see why they were used instead. I kinda wished that in the Justice League's initial battle that one of Doomsday's arms was tied behind his back to indicate how powerful he is compared to everyone else like in the Comics. The film just seemed kind of bland to me.
dshell102 Another hollow attempt to bring to life one of the all time greatest Superman stories.Superman Doomsday failed on so many levels. Batman Vs Superman was thoroughly mocked. Now we have something that is much closer, but still falls flat.He did even have one arm tied behind his back! That's one of the classic bits is how he was so strong he defeated so many with one arm tied behind his back!I like how they introduced everyone, but not the New 52 bits...it's a classic story and loses that feel when they add the newer stuff.I wanted to love it but all I can hope is they get the second half right.
Spazholio It's nice that DC apparently let their kids write a script, but they really shouldn't have used any of it for the movie. The dialogue is atrocious - stilted and ham-fisted at ever turn. And the voice actors were horribly miscast - Rainn Wilson (whose work I usually enjoy) was arguably a worse choice for Lex Luthor than Jesse Eisenberg, an impressive feat in itself. Jerry O'Connell (Superman) and Rosario Dawson (Wonder Woman) fared little better, but that might have been due to the absolute garbage they were being given to work with. How does one make a JL versus Doomsday movie *boring* of all things? The first half of the movie is a disjointed mess, a blatant attempt to shoehorn in the 4 new "Supermen" that will be starring in the next flick, but they contributed nothing to the story. The whole subplot about Lois meeting the Kents was 100% unnecessary and only served as padding for the movie length. Martian Manhunter didn't appear at all in the flick except to show up, get set on fire, and then not be used again. And as much of a fan of profanity as I am, it was just stupid in this movie. Not that superheroes can't swear, but it sounded like an 8th grader wrote it.Skip this. Skip it hard. Want to watch a DC animated flick that's worth it? Go watch "Batman: Under The Red Hood", "Justice League: Doom", "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox", or "Superman/Batman: Apocalypse". Even "Superman: Doomsday" (you know, the first time they made this animated movie?) was better than this, and I didn't like "Superman: Doomsday".Ugh, I wish I could give this thing negative stars...
