Lumsdal Good , But It Is Overrated By Some
CommentsXp Best movie ever!
BallWubba Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.
Jorge Fernandez Just saw this movie on cable and I found it very predictable and loaded with many clichés from both demonic possession films and found footage films. It's just not surprising or scary anymore. It also has many goofs and loose ends. (But hey, it's found footage, you can't expect found footage to give you all the answers...) Average performances and the typical plot. So, I guess I enjoyed it because my expectations weren't high considering how predictable this kind of movie has become lately. What makes me sad is that most of the keyboard critics rate it the lowest possible because of the ending. Why? Is the movie so predictable that you all need it to end the same way? Would it be better if the daughter freed her mother, maybe dying in the process, leaving at least one character to have a happy ending? the priest sacrificing his life to save the rest? the cameraman, as dumb as he looks, being butchered by a horde of "transparenting" demons? I think the ending is one of the things that may differentiate this movie from others. It's abrupt, inconclusive, violent. Not that I believe this could happen for real, but isn't it a very likely outcome if we imagine a situation like that happening in real life? If you don't agree then you must be clear that you want realistic, found footage movies to have Hollywood style, highly predictable endings.
rdoyle29 How stupid is this film? The plot centers on the Vatican School of Exorcism where all classes are apparently held in English. Every single moment of this film that comes close to working is just stolen from "The Exorcist". This movie ends with a title card that implies that nobody knows what REALLY happened ... but we just saw what happened ... it's a found footage film guys ... oh, whatever. Idiots.
Casey Holloway This movie had the full potential to be a movie GREATER than those like The Exorcist, or The Exorcism of Emily Rose as well!HOWEVER, the ending of this movie (SPOILER) was the worst ending of any movie I have ever seen! Even 5 more minutes of movie after the wreck would have been nice! Are they all dead? Did someone live through the wreck? Who did the demon transfer to after the wreck if they all died? A first responder, a cop? The list of questions could go on forever, and its been almost 3 years since the movie was made, so apparently there isn't going to be a sequel or they would have made it already! A tragic ending of a movie that could have been one of the greats!!
jennypatira Okay so I read your comments but I'd like to say the movie is different. There are some scenes that freaked me out but how many of you have heard about Demonic transfer? This movie proved that demons can get transferred from one person to next. Think in a view of Maria. From Maria to David to Isabella to Michael. That's demonic transfer. If you look at it in a learning way, you will have many questions like What is an exorcism? Or what is Demonic Transfer. I may have not seen it in reality before but I saw it in this movie. I learned a lot from it, thing is Have you? If you didn't pay attention to the small details you would not like it. If you did, you would agree that this is true. Choice is yours.
