CheerupSilver Very Cool!!!
Nessieldwi Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Allison Davies The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Brooklynn There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.
adonis98-743-186503 The Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, is relocated to Normandy, France under the Witness Protection Program, where fitting in soon becomes challenging, as their old habits die hard. The Family is no Goodfellas, Casino or The Godfather Trilogy and at times i do wish it was. Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer do try their best but in the end it wasn't enough, Tommy Lee Jones wasn't even needed to be in there and at times i felt like he was just bored to even show up and even when he does he walks like a turtle. The action was also goofy at times and a bit stupid. Overall despite the terrific and talented cast this movie couldn't pick what it wanted to be in the end. (4/10)
realfandangoforever Upon second viewing, this film is pretty damn harsh. I didn't quite remember the intensity of the final scenes (they are worth watching alone). Generally light-hearted and almost comedic, this film cranks itself up significantly in the final thirty minutes becoming a serious mafia film. For myself, I found it a somewhat uncomfortable mix of genres. You come to realize this almost loveable, mixed-up, yet loyal family, are actually a bunch of hardcore psychopaths; much like the crew pursuing them. De Niro leads a great cast including an endearing Pfeiffer and Jones. I even liked the FBI guys. I can see myself coming back to enjoy this film every few years. Unlike many of the reviews I have read, in reflection, I really enjoyed this film.
Kingslaay The Family is relatively entertaining and is a more comical look at life in organized crime. A family is on the run from the Mafia and arrive in a remote place in France. Each family member is shown be equally devious and harbor criminal intentions. The film excels with its humor and the quirky characters in the film. It certainly cannot be taken too seriously and the viewer can be quite certain everyone will be okay. The tone and nature of this movie informs you can expect a happy ending. It is enjoyable and perfect if you want to enjoy a film without having to think too much. The cast are captivating to watch and really carry this film which definitely makes it above average.
Muri da This film kept me entertained all the way through, which is not a common experience for me.The acting was great and the cinematography was beautiful. The story- very compelling and thought provoking. If you like films that make you think, relate deeply to real life situations and explore those issues we don't talk too much about, then this is the film for you. 10/10 Actions have consequences and this film explores the long-term repercussions of temporary arrogant gain.If you like Robert De Niro, you will love this film, he portrays the character beautifully.Gripping, entertaining and a solid film.It was not what I expected at first out of the film but it is a decent thriller, better than my initial expectation.IF you enjoy thrillers that are realistic then this is a great experience, you won't regret.
