It is an exhilarating, distressing, funny and profound film, with one of the more memorable film scores in years,

I've seen a lot of movies made by video brinquedo but this is the worse. 1. The animation is cheap and painful to watch. The flash animation honestly is probably the worst flash animation I've ever seen.2. The music sounds like garbage. Once you try not listening to the awful dialog the music doesn't convey what's happening in the scene and it's mostly loud odd tones.3. The voice actors sound like they wanted to get off this movie as soon as possible. Even they didn't seem to be enjoying their roles.4. The Characters are all unoriginal and dull to watch. 5. The story is a joke. this all could've been summed up if the frog simply said 'Kiss me and I'll turn into a prince'. If the frog would've explained to the princess from the beginning we wouldn't be here in the first place. Which makes this movie feel like it's five times longer than it actually is.Simply put: Go see the Disney movie of The Princess and The Frog. It might be longer but there is more heart into the story. This had nothing to offer to me or anyone.

To be honest you shouldn't expect anything much from Video Brinquedo(don't be fooled into believing that The Frog Prince was made by Good Times as it misleadingly advertised, Good Times would never and haven't made anything on this level of bad), known as The Asylum of animation for a reason. None of their movies are good and they share pretty much the same flaws for every movie. By that meaning, you expect them to be poorly written and hideously animated with annoying characters and not one shred of originality. The Frog Prince is at least not as terrible as Ratatoing, The Little Panda Fighter and the Little Cars movies, however it is still as terrible and has all the trademark flaws that makes Video Brinquedo's output as bad as they're reputed to be. Despite the "heroine" Princess Iria looking like a cheap version of Tiana, The Frog Prince is not to be confused with the Disney film The Princess and the Frog, which actually is a good film, and it is easy to do so. The animation in The Frog Prince is blocky and flat-looking, badly animated video games look better than this, while the characters are designed horribly(yes that's including Iria). The writing is incredibly shallow, crassly humoured and it was clear that it wasn't given a read-through or two. The story has no charm or heart, is often ploddingly paced and while there are the odd elements of the original fairy-tale there's some irrelevant filler as well. To be honest, it is as far away from enchanting as you could possibly go. And that you hate the characters as well is yet another reason, Princess Iria is especially insufferable. She doesn't even go on a convincing character journey or learn from any mistakes, she is selfish, shallow and just a discerning person to begin with and in my head she's like that for the entire movie. And the voices(from a small cast) are just grating, strangled cats are more appealing and blackboards are probably suffering from the sharpest finger nails of people actually listening to these voices and looking for something to take it out on, that's how bad it is. Overall, another animation disaster from The Asylum of animation, even if you are not too fond of Princess and the Frog(and there are a fair few people who aren't) it is undeniable really- and I always make a real effort to be subjective!- that it is an infinitely better film to this dreck! 1/10 Bethany Cox
