Ploydsge just watch it!
Doomtomylo a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Kinley This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
loveablejohn-26233 This movie was mediocre at best as the dubbing was atrocious and on some shots of the ship they obviously used a model but the other special effects appeared to be well done. The acting and the script could have also used improvement but it did have some tense scenes which is why I gave it 3 stars.
Michael Ledo These are not zombies in the conventional brain eating head shot zombies sense. These are more like ghost zombies. Two bikini models with the aid of their agency opt to get stranded in a boat in an Atlantic shipping lane for a publicity stunt. Things start out well until they hit the fog and the ghost ship. The agency, along with another bikini model go on a rescue mission only to find the same ship. That is pretty much it. Note to self: If trying to escape quietly on a stone floor, remove heels. The acting and dialogue was pretty sad. There are better ghost ship movies out there, but no worse ones come to mind.Parental Guide: No f-bombs, sex, or nudity in the version I watched. It does look like the camera cut suddenly when the models were undressing. I suspect there may be copies with some minor nudity.
Red-Barracuda Horror of the Zombies (aka The Ghost Galleon) is the third instalment in Amando de Ossorio's unique 'Blind Dead' series. This quartet of movies was based around the idea of medieval Knights Templar monks rising back from the dead to cause all manner of perturbation and despair on various Spanish people in the 1970's. It is a series of films that are certainly worthy of note on account of their undead protagonists who are very eerie and interesting creations. They are often understandably referred to as zombies but Ossorio disliked this description which put the Blind Dead in the same category as mindless animated corpses from other films, he preferred to describe them as 'mummies who feed like vampires', which in all honesty is a much better description. This entry in the series is the one which is most closely aligned to a ghost story, with the bulk of its action happening on a 15th century Spanish galleon which mysteriously appears on the ocean encased within a bank of fog. It's an idea repeated later on by John Carpenter in The Fog (1980), a film that is admittedly more successful than this one. The setting is really quite distinctive though and lends a great deal of atmosphere to proceedings and, along with the Blind Dead themselves, certainly constitutes the best aspects of the film as a whole. It has to be admitted though, that the shots of the galleon from a distance do looks totally like what they are, i.e. a small model floating in a tank of water! Thankfully, the sets within the ship are well done though. On the negative side, the film does suffer from weak screenplay. The story-line which has two swimsuit models end up boarding the ship when out at sea working on a publicity stunt for a clothing firm is pretty convoluted and ridiculous. I am sure a more effective idea could have been conceived in getting us to the ghostly galleon surely. Additionally, the pacing is somewhat lethargic too, which doesn't really help matters much. Nevertheless, the Blind Dead characters are still worth seeing when they pitch up and the ghostly setting does add some nice atmosphere. It also has to be mentioned that this one does also benefit from having a really rather original and well executed ending which shows the essential quality of ideas that even the lesser entries in this series have. This one overall is fairly middling on account of its deficiencies but it still offers interesting ideas and moments that make it worth seeing I would say.
Claudio Carvalho The model Noemi (Bárbara Rey) questions her employer Lillian (Maria Perschy) about her roommate Kathy (Blanca Estrada) that is missing after receiving a call from Lillian, and she tells that she will go to the police. Lilian explains that Kathy is in an afloat boat in the Atlantic with another model participating of a publicity stunt, and she brings Noemi to meet Howard Tucker (Jack Taylor) and his henchman Sergio (Manuel de Blas) that have idealized the advertising campaign. Kathy uses the radio to report that a ghost galleon without crew has arrived and Tucker sends a helicopter to bring the models back; however the pilot does not find them at the location. Tucker contacts Professor Grüber (Carlos Lemos) that studies the Sixteen Century galleon and they use a boat to reach the ghost vessel with Sergio, Lillian and Noemi. Soon Professor Gruber learns that the damned galleon is stranded in another dimension and the crew is composed of excommunicated Templar zombies. Now they try to leave the galleon and return to their own dimension. Will they succeed in their intent?"El Buque Maldito", a.k.a "Horror of the Zombies", is a lame, cheesy, stupid…but also a funny trash movie. I have never seen the other movies of this (unknown) series but the terrible story has an awful screenplay. The miniature boats in the ocean and the models's motorboat stranded in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean are ridiculous. Noemi is an annoying character and I was glad when she was caught by the zombies. But the worst is certainly the dreadful dubbing in English. My vote is four.Title (Brazil): Not Available
