Bad Acting and worse Bad Screenplay
Sabah Hensley
This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama
Mehdi Hoffman
There's a more than satisfactory amount of boom-boom in the movie's trim running time.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

Once this movie got its world-weary Montreal cop to "America," boy did it get tiresome. Has the director ever actually been to the States, or did he just make it up from watching old TV shows? Abusive Southern cops, a "frameup," etc. ZZZ.

One of the best Canadian movies I've seen yet. Julien Poulin delivers the best performance of his career. It's nail-biting suspense full of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Keep them coming Montreal!

Detective movies are very rare in Quebec. This ons is the rare exception. This is not a detective movie like Americans do: no explosions, no murders in slow motion, no cars jumping out of building windows. Just a very intelligent story, with a fine acting. Luc Picard is doing a wonderful job as the star, and so is Julien Poulin, as his father. Like the guy from Québec city, just before me, I'm very pleased with most of the movies from Quebec in the second half of the 1990's. This one is very good example. We're pround of that (Nous en sommes fiers!)

This is definitely not the best movie of the year, but you've got to see it. I think Luc Picard (the leading character) has ever been better but Julien Poulin is at his best. The scenario is excellent and if the producer had invested a couple of extra bucks it may have been an international success. I take the occasion to mention that Quebecers have recently released many good movies and I hope they'll keep doing it.
