Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Phonearl Good start, but then it gets ruined
Brendon Jones It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Raja Rawat The Last Lear will give you the chills, but in a good way. There is so much to appreciate about The Last Lear; some remarkably written scenes for one. The Last Lear is a very intelligently made movie. The movie directed by Rituparno Ghosh stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role of Harry.Amitabh gives a performance full of passion. Each scene has been very nicely executed making it a pleasure to watch be it when the three women are dealing with their frustrations in the middle of the night or when Amitabh and Arjun are trying to stop people from urinating in public areas. The emotions are beautifully relayed across the screen. The last lear is a film that should not be missed for anything.
Harish Aneja The Last Lear is a movie based on Shakespeare's play and the way it has been portrayed by Rituparno Ghosh is just mind blowing.Although its too late that i am posting my review but this is my bad luck that i have seen this movie now and as soon as i have completed the movie,i am over to this review. The movie Stars great actors,Amitabh Bachchan, Priety Zinta,Arjun Rampal.Preity Zinta was very good.Portraying Shabnam, an actress troubled with her marriage and personal life, who decides to take a visit at Harish's(Amitabh Bachchan) residence who is dying on the day when his first movie is being premiered.Arjun Rampal meanwhile contemplates some thought that worries him.
Ritu Agarwal The coming together of director Rituparno Ghosh and the legendary Amitabh Bachchan along with Preity Zinta,Arjun Rampal and Shefali Shah is what makes the last lear really special for its fans. No doubt the film is really good as could be seen during its world premiere at Toronto International film festival, where it received tremendous reception and was highly appreciated.Amitabh Bachchan who plays the role of Harish,a Shakespeare age stage actor is brilliant in the film. This could be said to be his best performance till date. All the stars in the film,be it Preity Zinta,Arjun Rampal or Shefali Shah, are exceptionally good in the film. People should see the film to see Amitabh Bachchan's brilliance. The Last Lear is a very intelligently and well-made movie. Shakespearean dialogs and references are used cleverly. Amitabh Bachchan is mesmerizing.
Nirmla Devi The Last Lear is a movie that would be remembered for its excellent and brilliant acting by stars and other is its storyline.I really like the plays of Shakespeare and this is the first time i have seen the movie based on his play,an art movie.I have seen all the movies given by Arindam Chaudhuri's Planman Productions and this is perhaps their best movie.Apart from this, planman production always came up with brilliant star cast and this time they have taken the great Mr. Amitabh Bachchan. Not only him,all the other star cast priety zinta,Arjun Rampal and others all were very nice in the movie. But the way Amitabh Bachchan plays his role is incredible. It's great to see him playing any role with such an ease.Other actors like Arjun Rampal,Shefali Shah are superb as well.It is one of the best multi starrer film of its type that I have seen in Bollywood!
