Go in cold, and you're likely to emerge with your blood boiling. This has to be seen to be believed.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

When a critic views a film that is different from most of the films they have to see, they often give it an undeserved rave review. That is what happened with this piece of garbage. This is one of the worst films ever made. There is not a single character that is sympathetic (and we meet quite a few), the story makes very little sense, the femme fatale has to be the most unlikable such character ever, yet she is able to make everyone do her bidding, and nobody in the film reacts as normal people do. There is absolutely no reason for Mike, the main male character that Wendy, the femme fatale, meets in a bar to love or even like Wendy, but we have to accept his behavior to accept the movie. But you can't accept his fondness for Wendy at all, especially the more he discovers about her. This movie is 2 hours that I will never get back. Don't believe the hype. Sitting in your bedroom contemplating your 4 walls is time better spent. Make no mistake--this is unadulterated crap which made me realize just how good film noirs of the 40's and 50's were. They had well-defined characters and a story worth following. This film has nothing!

A devious sexpot steals her husband's drug money and hides out in a small town where she meets the perfect dupe for her next scheme. The rumor is that this film was intended to be a "skin flick" but the people involved wanted to make something a little bit better. What they ended up with was a thriller not unlike "Basic Instinct" and "Fatal Attraction". In a world full of stupid men, a crafty woman can control her destiny. How well this film is known, I do not know. I wasn't aware of it. But enough people have rated it on IMDb that it must have been big at the time. Heck, there are rumors that it almost got an Oscar nomination. (Lots of "rumors" with this film... not sure what to believe.)

Sorry but this film disgusted me and I have to blame the writers, director and producers for letting crap like this be viewed. Oh, how I long for the code of decency to return. And you wonder why there are so many crimes committed in this country. Because these screwed-up writers are encouraging the crimes with their stories. When are we going to stop this? How many shootings, murders and crimes need to be committed to have us learn where much of it stems from? I cannot believe so many thought it a great classic film. Where in their sick world are they coming from? Maybe when it happens to them personally they'll think twice. As for the cast. Bill Pullman is the only actor I liked even though his character was somewhat less than desirable. The leading lady was a bitch in the first degree. I found it hard for any of these men to find her attractive at all. Flat chested, no butt and that friggin' hair always in her face. Her mouth the ugliest mouth I've ever seen. A complete turn-off to this viewer. The young man she duped was an idiot. I guess this is how they were supposed to play their roles, none of them likable at all. There was no redeeming grace in this movie. Only the theme that crime and murder does pay. So many times I wanted to come on the screen and slap that bitch as hard as I could.Enough of these horrendous films of injustice. Let's get back to some sensibility that movies are entertainment, not fuel for real life crimes. If I could vote a minus, I'd vote this trash a -10. I hated this movie with a passion. The author has no decency to let this bitch get away with murder. She kills all around her and gets away? Is that what you want us to believe? I am wishing that the plane crashes and takes her with it. Watched this a second time and turned it off half-way through. It scares me to think so many liked this movie. Sick people. Why we have so many murders and rapes in this country. Due to films that encourage it. All involved with this can go to Hell.

"The Last Seduction" from 1994 is a modern noir that succeeds mostly due to the performance of Linda Fiorentino, who makes Kathleen Turner in Body Heat look like Zasu Pitts.Fiorentino plays Bridget Gregory, who steals a fortune in drug money from her husband (Bill Pullman) and goes on the run. She ends up in a small town, Beston, while getting gas for her car, and meets Mike (Peter Berg), a frustrated man who wants to leave Beston. He did live in Buffalo, but all he will say is that it didn't work out. He wears a wedding ring that he can't get off, though he's no longer married. He and Bridget become sex partners, though he wants a more meaningful relationship. However, she won't give him any information about herself.Bridget then gets a job at an insurance company and convinces the bosses to let her work under another name because her vicious husband is after her. She hatches a murder for hire scheme using insurance company records, targeting philandering men who have credit cards in the names of women other than their wives along with love nests, where she convinces the wives their husbands are better off dead. Mike is horrified and wants no part of it. He will have to be persuaded. Somehow. Some elegant twists in this noir, along with a dark, steamy atmosphere. Fiorentino is one of those unfortunate cases of stardom eluded, probably due to choosing parts and films that interested her rather than films that had commercial value. Many films she's made have not been able to get distribution. She is gangbusters as Bridget - beautiful, sexy, ruthless, possibly one of the most ruthless women ever in films. She liked the role because the character had no conscience and no vulnerability. It's a performance deserving of all the awards she was either nominated for or received, but Golden Globe and Oscar attention would have been nice.Good movie, highly recommended.
