Nicole I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

rositamcgrath This is a great movie about a very interesting and successful bushranger and his cohorts. Hope the proposed trilogy will go ahead. Fantastic cinematography and beautiful scenery. We first watched this movie on a big screen at the back of Collector Hotel, which was brilliant.

redwhiteandblue1776 Excellent detail in costuming, guns used, saddlery, style of buildings and scenery. Unlike most "westerns" the shooters in this movie actually missed more often than hit their targets and the black powder guns blew smoke and recoiled. And I liked the way they were shown having to make their own bullets. Another realistic fact of the period. Very well done. Another thing that made this movie realistic was the riders didn't run their horses everywhere. They walked. I appreciate the fact that the film makers actually went to the trouble of making everything look real. Gritty, dirty, a hard life and certainly not glamorous. Very well done.

bon-28484 The Story of Ben Hall is told beautifully in the Film. I went in not Knowing who Ben Hall was except for him being a bush-ranger.He is now one of my Favourite Characters in Australian History. The Movie tells Information about him very well, and the action keeps it entertaining. This Movie would be very excellent for Schools If they were to study the legendary bush-ranger, although with this comment I must say there are some sexually suggestive scenes which would need to be skipped, or watched by mature Senior StudentsThis Movie Is a Very well made and should deserve more support.

Robert Johnson-Esquire I Went to see this showing at a charity event at the Capri theatre, not my normal choice of movie (to go and watch) and was very pleased i did, i believe this film far surpass'es other stereotypical Aussie films, both in acting and production and quality camera work, and many other areas the subject matter and research show great effort, i was SO impressed i brought the Blue-ray/DVD/Special Feature 3 Disc collectors edition set , in the lobby after showing for 30 AUD plus ticket of 25 AUD $55.00AUD in total without regret ! , if your an Aussie like me and have felt somewhat embarrassed by past Aussie films on an international level, you need not about this film/little gem, as it is truly (World class) production. while the subject matter may steer you away from choosing this over other titles it is most definitely well worth the watch, and something all Aussie's could be proud of in being an Australia production, this film absolutely craps all over and leaves in the dust! , Mick Jagger's attempts at portraying Ned Kelly so many years ago (which is what springs to my mind when reading the cover prior to watching LOL) this is not in the same league or Class as that fizzer , at some points i'd forgotten i was watching a movie due to the intense immersion and relate-ability with the authentic on screen characters , they were very realistic 10/10 from me
