Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

If WWE studio keep making action movies like The Marine franchise i will be very please.Directed by Roel Reiné The Marine 2 is another entertaining 90s throwback action movie that in my opinion slightly better than the rest of the franchise. Our Marine this time is Ted DiBiase Jr and he get the acting chop done while selling awesome hard hitting action scene. The location is beautiful and some characters surprise me when they not all that cliché plus the epic final battle with the villain make this movie very enjoyable to watch. Here i come The Marine 1

Sorry couch potatoes, my first review is of the "do not watch!" kind. When you watch a trailer that shall make your mouth watering and the hair on your arms standing attentively saluting you, for something that shall be your amusement for one and a half hour of your life fails badly, that is a major warning sign. When same trailer highlights every crucial moment of that one and a half hour and they have to put in fillers because there are not enough of those moments in the retail product, thats the second warning. When they put fake wrestling or reality show household names in leading roles instead of true actors, that is third warning and a red card! My suggestion is to get some dark beer, good company and watch Hildos Harley instead, it is ten times the fun, the thrills and pure American (we still want to believe that HD is American, don't we?) power. If you for some strange reason must watch this, be certain to have a good lap of your preferred gender to cry on afterward. You have been warned! May the sunshine always shine at your back and no pebbles in your shoes!

After a tough mission, Marine sniper Joe Linwood (Ted DiBiase) goes with his wife Robin to her wealthy demanding client Darren Conner's opening of his tropical paradise resort. They find local guide Church who is a former Ranger. Later that night, they are attacked by a gang of separatist terrorists. The terrorists take Robin, Darren and many others hostage threatening to kill them all in 24 hours. The military is slow to act and mercenaries are called in. Joe goes along on the rescue mission but things don't go right. It's an 80's action B-movie with better production value. The acting is not one of the things that are better. I really like the opening action sequence. However it goes downhill from there. DiBiase and Lara Cox are pretty stiff actors. There is limited chemistry and the movie drags. Even the reliable Michael Rooker cannot save this. The action is well done but I couldn't care less about these characters. It makes the movie nothing more than an exercise in stunts and pyrotechnics.

'The Marine 2' is boring film, with zero entertainment value. It has a predictable plot, it has a lot action, a few smooches and anything we have visited a thousand times before. Such films promise entertainment, but over-here the promise is not fulfilled. There is only plus point of the and that is Ted Jr. He's a good wrestler and his energy is quite good. He's the sole saving grace. But what is a talented actor like Michael Rooker doing in this film? He's wasted. This film is a poor show all the way. Watch Cena's 'The Marine' again instead.
