Disturbing yet enthralling
Sexyloutak
Absolutely the worst movie.

I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

I feel like D'Angelo is putting Toronto on the map for film! I saw this at the Scotia Theatre and I watched because I know Frank is a Torontonian. It makes me proud to support his work but he definitely needs to do a movie set in Toronto! Hey the movie was great! Classic gangster story, good acting, good music. Only thing, too long! I think it could have not necessarily ended sooner but told the story with fewer scenes. Not complaining though, I enjoyed every minuet. I even bought the soundtrack online, seriously the guy makes good tunes. Great work! Can't wait for the next one !

Saw this at villagio in Tampa for a ladies night out. My favorite movie ever is Goodfellas (Still is) But The Neighborhood Is definitely a new school version of an old school gangster movie. The music was great and I know that Frank D'Angelo performs it all , I've already bought the CD online. *Side note The guy also wrote directed and starred in the movie plus did all the music? who the heck has the time or energy ! Watch this movie if you really just want to see a classic, I personally am tired of Hollywood hoopla so this was refreshing. I haven't seen any of his other movies but I think I will now that I know what this guy has to offer. Welcome to the neighborhood !

I saw this film with my girlfriend in a Vancouver theatre and I have to say we were really impressed. I truly enjoyed this film. It was entertaining, thrilling, exciting, heartfelt and had great relationships between the characters. The film had some similarities to other films in the same genre but it also had that something special, that something extra. I liked the backstory, the younger versions of the characters and how it showed their relationships back when and then into present day. I read about this film after watching it and I can appreciate this Canadian filmmakers approach to film making. His timeline and the story he created - that's impressive and aspiring to me as a fellow Canadian Graduate in Fine Arts and Film Production. The Actor's played their parts with perfect conviction and raw energy. This film had a pretty impressive cast and I think they did the story a great justice. If you get the chance to see this film I think you will find it rather enjoyable and entertained nonetheless.

Saw this because I used to watch Franco Nero in old spaghetti westerns and I just wanted to relive my youth.I heard About Frank D'Angelo as amateur film maker but this movie was not amateur. It was different, reminded me of when filmmakers tried to be artsy and edgy. Common gangster story but the acting was some old school, classic acting that I haven't seen since I watched Goodfellas. Franco Nero is a legendary man but I cant deny Giancarlo Giannini, brilliant. This Was something different, for sure I would watch another D'Angelo film as long as he doesn't sell out and become commercial like everyone else.
