Reviews

TaryBiggBall It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.
StyleSk8r At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
jah_503 Well I am seventeen years old and I believe I watched this movie in 96 or so when I was six years old and I was mysteriously drawn to it. It was my favorite movie and I would watch it whenever I got the chance. Weird thing is around the age of ten I found a copy of the movie that I hadn't seen in years. As I watched it again at the age of ten the movie I remember I loved so much (which still nobody I've ever known has heard of) scared the life outta me! To this day I still think its the craziest movie ever, and sorta wished I wouldn't have watched it as a child. I'm also sorta glad I did as well. I didn't know there was so many others that seen it and felt the same way. There comments and experiences are exactly as I thought of this film. Its cool others have seen this too. Only thing different from others comments then mine is I watched this movie a ton as a child and remembered the name and everything just thought I would look it up on IMDb randomly, And I found a copy to see what I thought of it today. Somehow I feel related to the comment-ers on this film. Anyway if you hadn't seen this as a child you would definitely think this movie is beyond ridiculous but if you had seen it as a child its a great film to eerily reminisce over scared and alone (just kidding... or am i?) Again I don't see how anyone that hadn't seen it as a child would like it so not sure if I would recommend it to people that never seen it. But with all this similar reviews you could probably show it to your kids today if they do something wrong or won't go to bed... Just kidding please don't do that. Face value this film probably isn't worth a 10. But based on what this film meant to me as a child I'm giving it a 10.
m_mcdermott I remember LoVinggggggg! This movie as a kid-- and Yick(from degrassi) plays COnrad-- Michael's friend. It was interesting to see it again as an adult and watch it with my son who is now 10( I was 10 when it first came out in 85') I was able to find a copy of it online that you can stream and watch!! http://www.wizmovies.com/ Just look under the selection of titles they have and you will be able to find it there-- I believe it was uploaded off of an old either VHS/Or Beta copy lol as it shows the tape speed a couple times during the movie- Great quality though considering how old it is. Couldn't believe I actually just stumbled across it! Ahh did it bring back some memories! Enjoy !
Brandon Ward I've got fond memories of this film. Here's what I recall: A kid gets scared in an old house by some ghosts and all of his hair falls out.Everyone makes fun of him ... he gets a toupee, it falls off during a soccer game or something, humiliations galore. He befriends the ghosts that scared him and they teach him how to make a hair restoration paste out of peanut-butter, bugs, dirt (all the things little kids find 'gross') etc., but as often goes in these stories, doesn't follow the directions and/or warnings precisely and the solution makes his hair grown REEEEALLY fast.Other kids convince him to share and they use it on themselves for various reasons (e.g., one kid wanted some hair 'down there' and in a later scene you see him w/ hair growing out of his pant legs. The kids start disappearing and this guy 'The Signor' starts making these amazing, magical? paintings (can't remember what's so special about them, they're 3D, or moving or real or something). The main kid eventually discovers that The Signor has kidnapped all the kids w/ the super-hair and has them drugged to sleep so he can harvest all their hair to make magic paint-brushes.That's all I remember. Don't recall how it ends. Would love to see it again (I can't believe I remember all of this after seeing it on an after-school special 22 years ago!)
John Gambino An incredibly cruel Elementary School teacher forced my first grade class to watch this terrifying movie on more than one occasion. She seriously made us watch it over and over again, most likely to avoid having to actually teach us something worth while. I remember being traumatized by it and I developed a complex that all of my hair was going to fall out from having viewed it. My girlfriend recently borrowed a VHS copy from the library and we watched it for nostalgic purposes. I don't know what the hell I was so disturbed by when I was a kid. I must have been a real pussy, because the movie isn't the least bit scary. In fact, it's a real piece of garbage. Terrible acting (especially from that Asian kid from Degrassi Junior High) , appallingly bad clichéd dialog, dreadful soundtrack (Celine Dion) with an endless cast of Stereotypes. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.
