it is the rare 'crazy' movie that actually has something to say.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

The last lines explain what may seem obscure to the viewer. To some,it may also seem immoral. Two orphans ,a brother and a sister ,live together ;none of them seem to have a boy/girlfriend.The boy gets involved in shady business and ,one day ,accidentally kills the trafficker. The siblings share the same bed ,but their incest relationship remains platonic. Both are still living in their childhood:they have apparently never come to terms with the parents' loss.Malik Zidi is particularly convincing with his childlike look. Not an easy movie to watch, very slow-moving ,and an odd title :"queen of clubs";what do you suppose that means?

It's not a thriller I am going to talk about. Just a drama in the french way, the french fashion. Two orphans in their late twenties - a boy and a girl - live together. They are both unemployed and hang around in half distress. The boy is implicated with petty hoods in a copper steal. After a brief struggle between our lead and one of the thugs, he accidentally kills him and leaves the corpse in the countryside. At this point, the story line surprises us with its darkness and total lack of ethics. A very unusual flick, as I love. No one can expect the ending. No one, I can assure you.
