Develiker terrible... so disappointed.
GazerRise Fantastic!
Robert Joyner The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
itlewist Kind of sad that there probably won't be a sequel. Did some research after watching to see if there were plans and it turns out the movie didn't do so well in theaters. That doesn't mean it wasn't a good movie. The story was excellent and the ending makes for an intro to a part 2, but I won't get my hopes up. Its safe to say that we won't be seeing Tulsa visit the red planet even though the ending leaves open that possibility.
Virzana Mutiara Hanifa I am not surprised with Butterfield character here because he keeps his typecast here (an awkward romantic guy who falls in love with girl who set him free). Not every guessable movies is bad after all...Butterfield had starred in many teenager movie such as X+Y, Mrs Peregrine, Ender's Game, etc. But,but,but...this movie is too cringeworthy, Gardner cheesy pick-up line, somewhat too made up, lack of chemistry, lack of characterization, lack of connection with audience. It seems that the script was written by a high-school teenager who sent the story to a teen magazine. Too simple, lack of research and annoying scientific term (kinda weak and shallow science background). If movie was a piece of clothing, this would be a rag newspaper that has patches with unmatching colour. Take one plot hole, why Kendra adopt Tulsa for no reason and literally never interact before, or how Gardner seems to be like an alien who accidentally fell to Earth and never get to interact with normal people (e.g. cannot understand slang, etc.)The scoring wasn't very bad, but not the kind of scoring we could always link to one specific scene. The special effect is fair for a mediocre movie (it seems their head is pasted to the space helmet, look carefully). To sum up, this is a movie that you see if you don't have any work at all (there's a lot better things you can do). I regret seeing this.
redwhiteandblue1776 Those giving this movie low ratings, seem to think all movies are made trying to win academy an award and bash any movie that is just good fun. That's just dumb. This is just a fun teen, romance, adventure movie. Sure there are parts that are totally unbelievable, but that's true of all adventure movies. These same critics would probably rate a Bruce Willis film where he jumps off a 10 story building into a swimming pool full of man-eating sharks, fights off the sharks with his pocket knife, climbs back up the outside of the building, creates a bomb from a potato and throws it at an incoming helicopter to save his girlfriend at the last minute as a great movie. Sometimes movies are just supposed to be fun to watch. This is one of them.
rolland-creative Touching story, beautifully delivered. Love that he kept asking, "what is your favorite thing about earth?"
