Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
Sienna-Rose Mclaughlin The movie really just wants to entertain people.
sudanya-kirk Great intertwined script. Loved it. Good depth and interesting characters
chancellorpink Boring, overwrought, trite, meaningless. That people rated this so highly makes me sad for human beings. The critics are RIGHT on this one. Run!! There is ZERO mystery. The love story is lame. No depth of character. No humor. The kid's beard is horribly fake. The catatonic father is moronic and never explained. The detective slash award winning writer has NO reason to be chasing down this self-absorbed loser. When the pink dies (I guess), we are relieved. The jock's underlying story of a Judge father who is beating him up and sleeping with middle school kids means less than nothing to "our hero" or the rest of the plot, and the jock's suicide is bereft of emotional impact, given the cut and paste time travel way this misguided film is constructed. I've rarely hated a film so much. It's vapid. Only the accompanying soundtrack is pretty good. Avoid.
eyeintrees It was the title that initially caught my interest. I had never heard of this movie and no idea what it was about. Was I in for a surprise. I was hooked from beginning to end.Exceptional acting all round. This could have so easily become a melodrama, rather, it was the reality soaking through that made it brilliant. One critic on here cited 'unlikely events'... hardly, life is full of these kinds of messes, the kind that eventually wear people thin and change the entire course of their lives. Perhaps some critics haven't started living yet. It can be so easy for directors and editing to lose their way when doing different timelines and yet this film doesn't. It keeps you focused and informed. That's a major feat in this film as it really has a bit of hopping to do.From the characters you simply can't like to the characters you cry for and those your heart breaks for, this story and this film is absolutely captivating from beginning to end.
mnemarr-53789 This movie is as honest and original as the truth it portrays, and as the actors who portray it. The 9% from Rotten Tomato's critics is criminally insane.
