The movie was not so good. This is an as usual Police story with no new method. Songs were worst. BGM was amazing. Some scenes were very boring. Some scenes were unbelievable.

So, before writing my review, I would like to inform you that I am an Odia who watched the movie with English subtitles. So there may be some things I missed. I apologise in advance. Before watching Theri, I had watched another movie of Vijay, Kaththi, and I was super impressed. I watched this movie with a lot of expectations, and I'm disappointed. First, I have a problem with the story. It's nothing new. Even before the interval, one can guess what happens at the end. Some scenes are extremely cringy, like the last song and the climax. Then, Vijay's acting in this movie was weak in many instances. Amy Jackson was a mistake. There were a few positives, though. Baby Nainika was super adorable. Samantha also performed her role well. The chemistry between Vijay Kumar and her mum were good. But overall, they can't save the film. In conclusion, I give it 4 stars. I can understand how someone would give it 7, but 10/10, seriously? It also raises a dilemma. In case someone powerful does an inhuman act, should the police behave as the protagonist did?

I LOVED THIS FILM.THE SWAG.THE MESSAGE THAT IT CONVEYS AND HOW THE MOVIE UNFOLDS.IT CONTAINS ALL THE NECESSARY INGREDIENTS TO ENTERTAIN US.ITS A SURE TREAT FOR THIS SUMMER..Its just wow!!!!!!!!!!!.Each and everyone have done their role in a fashionble manner.The cast is simply awesome.The camera work is simply mesmerizing.The director has done a good job in bringing out the best in each.That small kid i simply good.The cuts are good and the film is never boring.It's a good family entertainer.Go with all and enjoy it.There are a bit violent scenes. And i don't think it deserves a U certificate.But still its a good film.It has an old story but good screenplay.

I would have given this film zero, that is, ignore it totally and leave it without rating. However, given the time and money that I spent on this movie... it is my duty to warn others. There is no story, whatsoever, just random action and emotional gimmickery! Music is bad, action sequences are good, Samantha looks like a puffed up rice plate and the Amy jackson is forcefully there to play the malayalee (she doesn't even look like one!) to woo Vijay's fans in Kerala!!!Direction has flickered from time to time, with actors breaking fourth wall occasionally! Screenplay... oh wait... in Mass Tamil movies, we look over this particular word... because Screenplays do not exist in Mass brainless tamil revenge thriller cop action whatever it is!!!Overall, a very disappointing movie which could have been a 20 minute webisode but lasts for 3 hours!!! ESCAPE! Worst movie of the year...
