silvan-desouza Im not a big fan of tamil/telugu films but many films are good. Thupakki made by AR Murugadoss is a good thriller. The film starts off quite well with typical romance and all but ever since the twist is out, it becomes captivating As the film is set in Mumbai Hindi is used more which make it natural though Vijay's Hindi isn't that good yet it gives the film authenticity. The film has good action scenes and good thrills There is the obligatory love story and songs too but thankfully not too irritating.Direction is good Music is as usualVijay does well in his role, Kaajal Agarwal is decent too Vidyut Jamwal who did villain roles in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu films before debuting as a lead in Commando is good in his role Zakir Hussian is as usual rest are okay

But comparing other movies of director and cinematographer its a below average movie...1.acting-this is dreadful acting from everyone who acted in this movie expect from hero who acted well in this when comparing other movies of him...2.Plot- plot with too many holes..it lacks everywhere truly not justified...3.I expected much good screenplay from him, But it too failed to impress..4.The cinematography is good comparing the other movies of the hero but its below average when we compare the other movies of the world class cinematographer i expect more from him..5.The music and songs is too bad to hear and even to watch..Overall: This movie is good for hero fans .But really a awful movie when you are a fan of director,cinematographer,music director...

Rajesh Pandian Among all the 54 movies including Thuppakki, this one stands separate as the best performer. Poove Unakaga, Kadhaluku Mariyadhai, Ghilli were huge turning points in Vijay's career and set new benchmarks. And now Vijay has put himself into more trouble by raising the bar higher in Thuppakki.For second movie in a row Vijay's name came after the movie name, which in my view is good and the title cards was good, showing different places in Mumbai.A decent introduction song, Kutti Puli Kootam but the next song, Antartica came rather quickly and chilled me a lot. I never finished listening Alaika Laika song but in my view that was the best choreographed song in the movie. Google Google meets expectation, Vennilave okayyy, poi varava was heart touching.The movie flows well in first 20 mins with the regular hero heroine introduction comedies. As soon as antartica song is over, movie enters main story and rest is just THE GAME. A game with thrill, ideas, lot of smartness, team work and the Gun.Interval block amazing, Vijay's Hindi superb, stunning camera-work, enthralling background score, pacy editing, perfect climax with a touching end :) Kajal satisfies with her role, Vidyut is smart, Jayaram was too good in his comedies and Ilayathalapathy Vijay was just the best in his career, with his attitude driven performance.Undoubtedly to be the biggest hit in Vijay's Career...
