When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

I liked the story, even if it had obvious production flaws, but not everybody can do Hollywood like films. The problem is that it is just a gimmick, with a few characters which don't really evolve in any way. The hallmark of a good story is that something changes, becomes more. In Timecrimes everybody stays the same, even when faced with time travel and multiple versions of themselves. That was disappointing. Also, since there are basically four people in the entire movie, if feels like a play, with the revelatory twists that someone expects from an episode of Outer Limits, not from a full feature film.Bottom line: interesting, low budget, way too long for its content. Maybe worth a watch, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Worth at least 7.5Very good simple time travel movie, easier to watch and understand then Primer, less intellectual. This movie hold itself better then Colossal in the script, direction, logic and acting in my opinion.Best time travel story I seen possibly.Try to see it in Spanish with subtitles.

I really like time travel stories, especially those that come up with interesting ways to deal with the inherent paradoxes that manifest in corporal-temporal movement. Despite the poster suggesting a slasher film, Timecrimes is a cleverly plotted puzzle in which the main character tries to change events that he experienced in the past, or at least change events in such a way that they appear to be what he experienced in the past. There is not much exposition in the story, especially around the 'whats and whys' of the time-travel machine and not a lot happens (and what does happens, happens a lot); but, overall, the movie is interesting and entertaining; however, you need to pay attention. I spread it out over a couple of days, which was a mistake, as much of the story hinges on the repetition of details from the perspectives of the various doppelgangers of the time-displaced main character. If you miss too much of that, the ending won't make much sense.

There are just so many things about this movie that irk me. There's no logic or motivation for most of the way this guy acts. To name just a few: -why does Hector 2 leave the compound and not wait for H1 to go back in time, as he does not realize he is actually the man with the bandages at this point? -why does H2 follow the girl into the house at all? Theoretically if he left her alone, the most she could do is scare Clara. -why does H3 crash into the white car with H2 in it, when this is basically the catalyst that leads to (what he believes is) his wife's death? While I understand that he wants to get rid of H1&2 to take their place, he knows what crashing his car will cause, so should find an alternate way to achieve his goals. And the move doesn't even address the idea that if he were to do something differently to the past Hectors, what would happen? Would he cease to exist, changing all the time-lines? Or would it cause a schism with two parallel time-lines?There are just so many failures in logic. As far as production and theoretical time travel goes, it's not that bad, but when the entire main character seems to be driven by nothing other than it must be done to move the plot along, I just can't give it a good rating. There is simply no logic. And then at the end, throwing the scissors with your prints on them on the ground in the same yard as the girl! It will become obvious that those scissors belonged to the girl in due time, and since her hair was cut just before she fell to her death, it could be used to prove his guilt. Gaahhhhhhh this movie has me so frustrated I just want to scream.
