GazerRise Fantastic!
Fairaher The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.
InformationRap This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
melvin-1 This movie's story is not what I am commenting about it is Jenna Elfman's development from being typecast after 'Dharma & Greg'. She really carries the story and shows her in a new light. I don't we will see her in another sitcom now. Now the story about a female nurse and her male patient falling in love. Now if there had been more substance to the story it would have been better. At the end I even think more should have been added to a possible future of Scott and Angela being together. Jenna's character was a miracle to Randall's character being a caring soul that stayed where his wife did not even try and wait. His son told him to let go and 'touch' the one that really loves him now.
adoraburl This is a terrible film, although the lighting is nice and some of the furniture is quite stylish. The plot, or to be more specific, premise, is absurd, the dramatic pauses are chasms, and the piano score drowns out the whispered and banal dialog. This is a soap opera film -- the type that usually requires several hankies -- but you'll find yourself shredding Kleenes out of boredom, and spending more time looking at your watch then the screen. Yes, the female lead is lovely. Put her naked in a zombie movie. THe male lead appears as if he escaped from daytime TV, and is none too happy about it. The actor who looks like Ed Begley Jr isn't Ed Begley Jr. Oh, there are two "music video" sequences that went out with "Play Misty for Me." I thought this film might be a pleasant romance with fantasy overtones -- the fantasy was all mine.
Screen-7 The plot is horribly sappy and painfully slow. And I even like tear jerkers! I have absolutely no medical training but I can't imagine the this story being medically possible. But those long long long face shots give you lots of time to admire Jenna Elfman's marvelous face. I have to wonder if this movie was made to prove that Jenna Elfman can do serious drama. Well, she can! But, what she really needs is a movie that shows off her considerable range.... funny, sexy and serious. This movie shows her as sexy and VERY serious. VERY VERY serious. The supporting roles are unmemorable and the plot is just plain taxing. The production values are fine although the movie is just drowning in patina. But if you love Jenna Elfman, as I do, you'll want to see her in "Touched" since you just can't get enough of that face.
rick-594 I've only recently become a huge fan of Jenna's and when I saw this come up on the TV program guide, I jumped on it...As a parent who lost a child at an early age, this movie rang so true to how we deal with loss and try to find a way to come out from underneath it all.If you have ever lost a child, or have ever had to deal with anyone in a long term coma, you should watch this movie.Don't get me wrong, I'm a guy, but I cried like a baby for hours after watching this one. I would strongly suggest watching with a friend, spouse, or loved one...
