Details

Tugger is a little jeep. During World War II, his engine fan was replaced with a real airplane propeller. Since then, he's known that one day, he too will fly in the skies. While spending his time doing boring work towing airplanes around, he never let go of that dream, and who knows, it may just come true some day...

Reviews

Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Ella-May O'Brien Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Deanna There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.
Erin-steddom There wasn't a single positive minded person working on this movie! The entire movie is utterly depressing with everyone telling this poor Jeep that he can't fly in different derogatory ways. My son watches it three times a day and it gets more painful every time, I think I'm gonna hide it. The negativity isn't worth the 3 minute happy ending! Parents who try to instill positive thinking in their children should avoid this movie. The makers were attempting to show the end as victorious, but it goes way over a young child's head and leads to toddlers running around saying "Lock it up Shorty". Fun Fun! You get used to the not so hot animation after the first few minutes.
amy huff My three year old and a five year old friend loved this movie and I enjoyed it as well. As a mom who is very particular about what my children watch, I was pleased with the content of the movie. I found no suggestive or objectionable situations as you often see in films marketed to children. The characters were lovable and interesting. I could recommend it for younger and older children. It is action packed and kept us on the edge of our seats without any violence. This the best movie I have ever taken the children to see, hands down. It is a must see for anyone looking for action & adventure without offensive material. The story is well written and has a underlying theme about dreaming big things and not giving up on your dreams even when they seem impossible.
blewis17 Tugger is this generation's "The Little Engine That Could." A sweet story of an old WW2 Jeep that dreams of flying like an airplane. I had the opportunity to attend the screening in Celebration, Florida. Jim Belushi was on hand for the premiere, and performed with his band, the Sacred Hearts, after the film.First in a series of planned adventures, Tugger: The Jeep That Wanted to Fly is a wonderful Veggie-Tales like CGI film about our deepest wishes and dreams, and how sometimes they come to pass in the most unexpected ways.HINT: Listen for Shorty's quick one-liners in the film. You may not recognize him, but that is comedian Carrot Top (aka Scott Thompson) voicing the little yellow radio. ALSO, Lea Selonga (the singing voice of Aladdin's Jasmine, and also Mulan) performs a BEAUTIFUL song at the end of the credits, "No Sky Too Big."
adler_amanda I saw Tugger at the premiere in Florida during the 4th of July weekend. This movie was high-quality computer animation along the lines of Toy Story or Finding Nemo. The story was extremely cute and patriotic, and with a "G" rating it was perfect fun for the whole family. My entire group (comprised of people of diverse ages) enjoyed the movie which was full of good life lessons, while never becoming too obvious or "preachy" like so many family/kids films. The characters, voiced by Jim Belushi and Carrot Top, were lovable and done well. Jim Belushi also sang the songs in the movie, which I found to be excellent. I would recommend this movie for any family looking for something that both the parents and the kids can enjoy together.
