Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
Helloturia I have absolutely never seen anything like this movie before. You have to see this movie.
Arianna Moses Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
Ezmae Chang This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Franco Zefferer A mish mash of things you don't actually know what you're seeing, but it is delicious anyway. We know by now that Rupert Everett is a great actor a courageous man and downright irresistible. Unconditional love reminds you that unconditional means unconditional so you're going to love it, no matter what. From Julie Andrews to Don't Look Now, yeah why not. I had a lot of fun.
Mathew O'Keefe Unconditional Love became an instant but accidental love when it popped up on the T- Box. September 2012 and the T-Box is offering us a 2002 Kathy Bates movie we had somehow overlooked? With little else on offer, we tuned in with absolutely no expectations, a rare but desirable state of being. What we witnessed was a camp comedy that was as outrageous as it was romantic. Whilst it moved quickly, the characters were deep and you either loved them or loved to hate them. Bates and Everett, the leads, played their roles to perfection, with Bates' performance a gem. Don't pay any attention to people saying Bates looks out of place, they seem to have missed the moment. The movie delivers in spades, if you're not laughing you're crying or being shocked by its blackness, no minority is spared. An uplifting must watch comedy, though maybe too camp for some to appreciate.
t-claybourne I am a huge Rupert Everett fan. I adore Kathy Bates so when I saw it available I decided to check it out. The synopsis didn't really tell you much. In parts it was silly , touching and in others some parts were down right hysterical.Any person that is a huge fan of a personality of any type will find some small identifying traits with the main character. (Of course there are many they won't, but that is the point)If you like any of the actors give it a watch but don't look for any thing too dramatic it's good fun.I might also mention you can see how darn tall Rupert is. I mean I knew he was 6'4" but he seems even more in this film. He even seemed to stoop a bit due to the other characters height in this. He is tall! I mean tall!!!! And for you Rupert fans there is a bare chest scene...WONDERFUL!
westy27-3 What an excellent movie, made even more so by the fact that my wife and I stumbled onto it so serendipitously, channel surfing on a nice frozen day in North Texas. Kathy Bates is at her usual best leading a cast of very normal and human costar characters thru one of the most wonderful feel good movies we've ever seen. Why this movie wasn't given the attention it deserved on it's release in 2002 is difficult to understand. Why it was head and shoulders above so many of the boring pieces of trash released with greater fanfare and attention is evident in the viewing. It is obvious that we as a general public are being force-fed that which has been deemed "great and wonderful" by the powerful and influential while true gems such as "Unconditional Love" manage to shine thru all those pretenders to really enjoyable cinema. Rent or buy this movie.....you won't regret it!
